Southampton post match thread

Pellegrini MOTM for Southampton.

Fuming is not the word that was an absolute shambles.

Nacho only player who didn't deserve to be on losing side. Always been a Pellegrini fan but I'm starting to really hate the guy. He won the lottery when he got this City job. What the @@@@ were those subs? Southampton causing us problems with pace through midfield so to fix it he takes off Fernandinho for Demichelis haha then he takes the only other DM off for a Winger.

We'll still make the top 4 I'm in no doubt but a bit of confidence needed to go into the Madrid game with was ripped away because of Pellegrini.

Hart - 6 nothing he could do.

Zaba - 6 gutted to say but he's done at City
Otamendi - 5 few decents tackles but that's it.
Mangala - 5 as above.
Kolarov - 1 absolute shite

Nasri - 6 no help
Fernandinho - 5 head was else where
Delph - 5 gave ball away to much
Sterling - 1 utter shit.

Bony - 6 Imo 1 of City's better players today had no service from Midfield.
Kelichi - 10 CLASS CLASS AND MORE CLASS.

He probably took Dhino off as he new we were likely to get hammered whoever he had brought on, so might as well rest him for Wed

I don't think it's true they all don't care, but it only needs a few, plus a few who are past it & a few who are rusty & then put them all together in the same team with a wide open formation.

Even if they'd been lined up play on the break, like the Champs Lg team, it might have been enough, but instead just absolutely wide open. It was a formation, asking players some of whom don't care, some of whom have barely played, some who are past it, to work like fuck & prrform at their best, or we lose.

Spot on.

Agree completely. Kolarov left hart in the lunch a couple of time s with poor back passes and hart laughed. He should have bollocked him.

I think it was the same laugh some of us here had. A bit like when Sean Devine scored at Maine Rd. As in, 'surely this can't be real, are they taking the piss' kind of laugh.

Maybe it was lost in the translation or misunderstood in his mundane mumblings

But he just said he didn't think the team he picked today could win the match!!!!

Yes that's exactly the sentiment of his interview....he more or less said it's because 4 of the team don't play regularly and then insinuated if we played on Sat he would have set up differently due to the extra day rest...so big fuck you to the FA.. That'll teach em, eh.

Was working, so didn't see the game, but let me guess;

Bony -shit and lazy
Sterling - shit and lazy
Kolarov - shit and slow
Otamendi - dived in a lot
Kelechi - better than all of the above added together

Anywhere close?

Well that was pretty awful. Great to see Iheanacho get a brace, the 2nd a stunner.
Loads of mistakes from everyone but ofcourse most costly with Otamendi, Mangala and was painful to watch Kolarov jogging back as we conceded.
Even Fernandinho and Nasri disappointed. Subs didn't do a lot. Sterling missed a decent chance, and mostly just won free kicks. He has been good, and still young, hope to see him back to his best in future.
Feels like the FA cup game, we seemed to let this one go. No injuries I think, and 3rd is still in our hands.

So you are saying he's not arsed about the prem but is spuds deep for the champions league?
You need fuckin help mate....fuckin wind up you pal and a shit one at that.
Your mask is slipping.

That's exactly what I'm saying and all the evidence points to it.

You can ask anyone who's had a conversation with me on here that I'm a Blue. . .

I'm absolutely a City fan.

Pellegrini won't be here next season so what repercussions would he face? None.

He doesn't give a shit.

He only cares about the Champions League for his own ego/so he has the pick of jobs when he fucks off!
You, I and many on here know for a fact that Manuel is putting all his eggs in one basket. You have a valid point indeed. He doesn't give a shit about next season for city ! He's living for the now and only cares about having the champions league cup win on his CV

What's more frightening is that the Spanish dynamic duo who run the show haven't a fucking clue about the English game.

That's far more worrying for me.

Yep, let's get Harry and Fat Sam in, they've been there, seen it, done it - you know it makes sense!

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini told BBC Sport: "I'm very frustrated because I didn’t expect that performance - especially in defence. At least four of them [today's line-up] are not playing [regularly].

"I think we could've played on Saturday and named a stronger team. But in this case we had to prioritise Wednesday's game [against Real Madrid].

"The best way to prepare is to win but we couldn’t do it."

Guess what Manuel......nearly all of Bluemoon DID!!!
The Saturday 'stronger team' comment is a total cop out. Same team, same result if we played yesterday. Only difference is he'd have blamed it on us having played Real a few days earlier.

I don't like that. I can take it that he played a weakened team with the game coming up and the players take the lions share of the blame for today but at least accept some responsibility. Suck it up for fucks sake.
