So when was our bench weaker this season or last then? We don't even have a striker!

Weren't Rekik, Razak and Suarez all on the bench for one game this year?

agree it looks week, but only due to lots of injuries and missing players

i've no doubt it's a genuine problem either.
if the club consider it serious enough to give him the permission then that's good enough for me and it's none of our business. hoping it's short term and can be resolved asap for carlos

agree it's usually much better but under circumstances that is still a very strong subs bench. maybe it's one of our least strongest but it certainly isn't weak, all that's missing is a striker

They are a tough team, no easy games in the league. The only thing we should be worried about is a performance, we perform and we'll win but that's easier said than done at the moment.

I am actually oddly optimistic about our chances today.

Yaya is back, Nasri (hopefully) has had a kick up his arse, and Silva is on a decent run of form.

Our back four should be more than good enough to handle the Saints and we should boss midfield.

You certainly don't get fit (never mind match fit) by playing a debut prem away game.
