Southampton Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Truth is that result has been on the cards for 12 months - if not for a bit longer.

Too slow on their feet - and in their heads in too many games. Managed late goals to cover over the cracks.

"Wake up Roberto - you've been exposed - now grow some balls, earn your wages and sort this out!!".

Just cannot believe how appalling that was. Outplayed all over...by a side fighting relegation. It's not even as if they had to hold on at any point, there was more chance them making it 4-1 than us getting back into it.

Zabaleta, Clichy and Aguero were OK.

How the heck did both Barry and Garcia manage to survive the whole match? Barry was responsible for two of their goals and lost the ball several times while Garcia just didn't have a clue, Lambert dominated him and Lescott. Nasri was also atrocious, he should be the first name out in the summer after the released players, in my opinion. Yaya had a very poor game, couldn't handle the pressing game Southampton played and very rarely looked like he would make anything happen in attack. Davis and Schneiderlin outshone him big time.

I don't want to criticise Mancini too much, but why the heck did he take Silva off for a right back at 3-1 down. I just cannot understand that. We weren't creating much as it is so we take the player most likely to create something off. Why?? Not the first time has made strange substitutions like this either.

The ESPN pundits said our players lacked desire. I so hope that's not true. Considering we are 9 points behind and in big danger of seeing our season become a failure, then if this is the case, then seriously something is very wrong.

Chelsea at home next in the league, in what now sadly looks like the battle for 2nd place. On the positive side, there is no way it can be worse than that.

Re: Small timers

A lot of City fans have this mentality. Born out of so many years of being shit. Don't want Mourinho. Annoyed when people moan after a poor performance. Happy just not to be shit anymore. They're part of the problem imo.

Southampton Vs City Post Match Depression Thread.....

Yes, it's looking like it's over for this season. We've still got the FA Cup, CL spot - think we need to take a few deep breaths and move on.

2-0 down. Fan shouts 'reality check needed'. Wasnt so long ago since we were in the 2nd division.

2-0 down against a side who have just been promoted, playing the champions and that is what is spouted. It happened away at Madrid with the tourist brigade too busy taking photo's and now it's happened away at Southampton.

Fucking small time mentality. Shameful.

And then what happens - small time irony songs return.

They think its "cool" to be shit and shout "forza" every 5 mins.

Don't underestimate the opposition, this Argie has got his team and tactics sorted.

Jonathan Pearce to Mancini: Have you ever seen Manchester City concede goals in such a manner?

Has the fat, squealing bastard ever watched City in the last 20 years?
