Two tough away games in 4 days.

4 points would be a good return and we'd have a decent run of results together that could start to put a bit of pressure on Chelsea.

---------------------Hart
Zabaleta Kompany Mangala Clichy
------------Yaya-----Fernand0
-------Milner---Fernandinho-----Nasri
------------------Jovetic

I'd rest Aguero bring him on on the hour mark. We need him for the whole season

You have to manage players, and he's had some serious stress recently

Aguero and Navas as 2nd half subs - that could be devastating

Looking foward to this and i think we'll come away with the 3 points. Bayern will (hopefully) have given us a huge boost in confidence and with Southampton above us the players will wanna win.

Hart

Zaba Kompany Mangala Clichy

Milner Fernandinho Fernando Yaya Nasri

Aguero

Sergio on fire and can't see it stopping here Southampton 1 Man City 3

If Silva is back I'd give him an hour but I'd rather not rush him. Beat these and hopefully beat the Jinx at the Stadium of light could be a good week ahead.

I think the time to rest Aguero is:
a) when we aren't playing a rival top 4 team, and
b) when we actually have another fit forward to replace him with

Jovetic? He's had a really tough schedule and we have a game at Sunderland and then the Christmas fixtures coming up

It's a hard decision to take, but I'd be looking to rest him where possible.

I like this, in a 4-1-4-1 formation with Fernando holding. We need to show Southampton some respect because this is going to be a really tough game.

hoping that bayern win does really help , and keep chelsea in sight !

ofcourse chelsea dropping points would help !!

Jovetic is an attacking midfield player. I just don't think he has what it takes to lead a forward line

Been thinking about this match and between the result on Tuesday and Koeman's comments on Aguero I don't think we'll see as much of an intense pressing game from Southampton this year when they play us, they won't fancy meeting the same fate as Bayern did (who are a lot better at the style than Saints).

I'd take a draw here but I know we have to win. They have had a weeks rest where we have had a difficult game against Bayern which really we should of lost had it not been for Aguero. I think if we can do the same and plug away any chances we can win but it will be very difficult with the form they are in. Again we need another level from Yaya and co with no Silva back.

Considering how Southampton have been performing so far this season, a draw would normally not be too shabby a result. Chelsea will win at the SOL though, so we need to do likewise to keep within a reasonable distance of them. 10 (or God forbid) 11 points would be a hell of a lead after just three full months.
