Crikey so many people giving in already, maybe the team should just say "that lot on Bluemoon have given up on us let's go home before the match lads!!!"

We are Manchester City, we play and fight to the end. Let's have some positive thoughts please!!!

They are moaning over the squad. This formation and team have played before and struggled against crap opposition

This formation has won us the league.

A mates just phoned me from Yates's in Southampton, Gerry Gow is in there with Pat and his crowd from Cheltenham boozing away, great to see a God from the old playing days still supporting the club

Pellers knows best, but to me the team would be more solid with Jimmy ahead of Jovetic. Let's hope a lot of us are proven wrong because they are going to come at us and Jimmy's defensive qualities would have come in handy.

Milner should be playing in front of Clichy because a lot of Southamptons attacking threat is from overlapping fullbacks and Nasri is next to useless at defending, at least Navas in front of Zab puts the work in defensively. Nasri behind Aguero for me with Jovetic to come on if we need to change it but who am I to argue with Pellegrini.

It's official. Navas has dirt on Pellegrini.

Rightly or wrongly, Pellegrini's concept of how the team should play and the strengths of the team is very clear. This is why he always plays Navas regardless of fixture because I believe he has identified that Navas always provides a tactical advantage on the right side- He takes up good positions in that area, links up well with Zabaleta and always goes in behind to put balls into the box.

Look at it this way- everyone (myself included) is complaining about Navas not putting quality crosses into the box. However we all forget the other side of the reality, which is, the player is always getting into good positions to cross the ball in the first place.

So I believe Pellegrini acknowledges that and the decision to play Navas is more tactical than technical and I do accept that he an outlet and a threat in his capacity in the team but he needs to improve his final ball.

Not sure about our midfield, Jovetic has a huge role today, has to do what Lampard done midweek and drop in. Other than that:

Soton have played virtually nobody of note so far this season and are imo hugely overrated.

0-3 today, an easy drubbing. Then the talk after the match on sky will be all about how saints aren't all that and city are still poor etc etc.

Take it to the bank, Saints 0 - 3 City today.

Oh, and I fucking hate those spiteful South Coast wankers, I've never forgiven them for not selling their allocation for the last ever game at Maine road and refusing to release the unsold tickets to city, denying many a home fan the chance to be at the last game.

Cunts.
