Southampton Vs City Pre Match Thread

I just think that Southampton have managed what the rags couldn't in that they got early points on the board from teams they should beat. They started showing signs of slowing down against Villa and this will be their first real test.

I'm relatively relaxed as I feel the attitude of City has changed in these last couple of weeks and whilst we are still conceding silly goals, I feel we are in a much better place than we were a month or two ago.

We are reigning champs and they should be more wary of us, than us of them.

If we carry on with the new found belief, I see an entertaining game for neutrals but with the 3 points coming back to the Etihad.
1-3

Considering how Southampton have been performing so far this season, a draw would normally not be too shabby a result. Chelsea should win at the SOL though, so we need to do likewise to keep within a reasonable distance of them. 10 (or God forbid) 11 points would be a hell of a lead after just three full months.

Edited for accuracy

One of my favourite goals.............................which did't even win BBC goal of the season !!!!.

watching alan shearer on the Bein Sports network with Keys and Andy Grey for today's matches

the chelsea love fest is nauseating ! " they will run away with the league" ( yes they are favorites ..can't argue there )...he is pretty convinced they will go unbeaten.

It's his opinion , i have no issue with that ...but I really get the feeling as discussed in the agenda forum , that these "pundits" haven't been able to digest our relative quick rise

Here we go, coming up on soccer Saturday, where would Man City be without Sergio Aguero...

As Kompany said earlier this week, this team galvanises and pulls together when their backs are against the wall and we are being discounted in the press and not being forwarded the respect we deserve.

I think that regardless of the set up or the team we play we will win this, I don't care if it is an in form Southampton or the one against Villa that turn up we will win this.

0-2 Aguero, Lampard

Why watch it? You should know by now that they absolutely hate us! Let me guess, merson and pinnochio spitting poison at us on how we should have easily beat a ten man bayern and that we were lucky?
