Well they’ve started the ball rolling (pardon the pun) by practically resigning themselves i.e. saying they won’t play for Spain again until he goes.
After reading about some of the things he’s done in the past I get the impression he thinks he’s untouchable.
It isn’t a storm in a teacup though. It’s a raging great tsunami over Spain’s football credentials by this person.

I don't see how they go forward without his resignation if that's the case.

Out of interest, what are some of the things that he's done in the past?

It's a shame that this is being talked about really. I watched the final and the Spanish girls were really good, especially in the 1st half and they won the World Cup with a fantastic goal.

It's a shame that this has overshadowed what they've achieved.

Of course they are because they are all enablers and feel is so entitled that nothing will be done, it’s the most insane thing they have done, by suing her the story will go completely international and FIFA will have no choice to use him as an example l feel.

In the last few moments we've heard that Luis Rubiales has been suspended from "all football-related activities at national and international level" for an initial period of 90 days by Fifa's Disciplinary Committee.

I always find it hugely telling (and somewhat disturbing) that some people’s hard-wired immediate reaction to this stuff is to be more annoyed by the public reaction than they are concerned about a guy who it appears has a history of rampant misogynistic behaviour being in a leadership role in charge of a women’s team. That doesn’t seem like some kind of storm in a tea cup to me, it seems like an enormous fucking problem and I’m left scratching my head how it has been allowed to develop to the point where this incident occurred.

These are the same types that argue about “woke cancel culture”, but let’s have it right, if this was a reaction to an indiscretion perpetrated between two men of equal standing then they wouldn’t even bat an eye. The fact it is a women’s team standing their ground is how it gets labeled as an overreaction, or woke, or some kind of damning indictment of how society has lost its way.

It’s yet another example of how for those accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression.
