A quick question, do you think we would be in a better or worse position with Mourinho as manager?

Personally, I don't think we would have been beaten by Utd in the cup and I certainly don't think Sporting Lisbon would have knocked us out of the Europa League. Our away form is nothing short of shit and although Mancini has done a good job(wining the fa cup is something I will never forget) you cannot blame the owners for looking for alternatives as the job has been good not great.

I'd love to see us win the league with Mancini, I just don't think we will. Mourinho is a great manager and if he is available then we should go for him. If he does come and is successful but leaves after 3 or 4 years we will be in a great position to hire the best manager at that time, hopefully that will be Uwe!!
worse mate, he is struggling to keep hold of the dressing room at Madrid, and bottles it every time it gets tough at a club

Lost the dressing room? I've heard them stories but it doesn't seem to be bothering them too much. They are top of the league and one game away from the semi-finals of the Champs League.
As for bottling it when the going gets tough? He left Porto and Inter as league and European champions, I hardly call that 'tough going'

I'm a huge Mancini fan and would love to see what we've got at the moment work out, but the idea of Mourinho and the Tranny arriving in the summer is incredibly alluring, despite what would result in the loss of Mancini and most probably Balotelli. The only worry I would have with Mourinho is would he actually have the gall to sack us after a year or two and join the Scum when Taggart fucks off? If he were to join us you'd like to think not, but its the only thing that would worry me about him joining. However, it could be said that if he does join us, the chances of him replacing Slur deplete rather rapidly....

Lets not get too high & mighty here; there have have been plenty of characters (on and off the field) in our clubs past who have not always behaved as they should. I don't see the point in trading individual incidents for 'morality' (poke in the eye vs cigar in the eye etc etc),

I also started supporting for family reasons, but What do you mean you supported the club cos they "stood for something" ? What, tell me, did city stand for exactly over and above every other football club. I'll go & get a hanky to wipe away the tear from my eye whilst you compose your reply.

No need for the hanky pal and you're correct we have had many an unsvaoury character in the past, but if we have a choice do we have to acquire an unsavoursy character again, does that justify doing it in the future.

We have a manager widely respected for his behaviour, his humility and who is proving successful. Why would you want to change that.

Yes City stood for something to me, they were the polar opposities of United a club steeped in arrogance, intimidating refs, divine right of the fans to win, belittling supporters of other clubs, it made my support for City to strengthen, along with the camaraderie of the fans.

I have waited along time for success for me personally it will be tainted if we show now humilty in victory. Hope your eyes are not too sore

So why did he not shake Pulis's hand at the end of the game?

So you dont think he is respected or showed humility to the opposition? Has he made mistakes I am sure he has, but preferable not to shake a managers hand than poke somebody in the eye from behind. In the main he has behave well, hardly criticised referees and been refreshingly honest interviews.

If this is true Mourinho would be been and gone in two seasons..............hes a wanker in every sense of the word.

In every sense of the word?
What, are you accusing him of masturbating as well??

His interviews are appalling, but not that on a scale of 1 to 10 that rates at 0.5 in importance

Tough one to call this. No question he's got "issues" with the likes of Ramos and Casillas. Question is will Madrid cut of their nose to spite their face once again. I was going to say, only that club could get rid of the best manager in the world - then I remembered Roman had already done it once! Ha!

If he wins one of the two trophies this season, I suspect it will be enough to buy himself enough good faith to stay at the Bernabeu.

If he wins nowt...

His next move, to England, will see him lay down roots for the next five years at least, subject to him continuing his remarkable knack for winning.

It's the biggest decision of his career.

would have thought complete opposite; knock Barca off their perch in the league and/or win the CL, leave like he did with Inter on a high. Comes up short in the CL, stays until he gets that success.

Not if you think you can hold out for the United job at some stage.

He comes up short on both this season and he has a major problem.

The United job is not available yet and unless he's willing to take Spurs or A N Other, that ship will forever sail by coming to City.

And the City job is not one I believe is even yet on offer as the radio report suggests, certainly not an agreement.

I see it the other way round to be honest. I think if he wins the league, he'll go gunning for even more power at the Bernabeu, and if he doesn't get it, which i suspect he won't, he'll walk. If he wins nothing, he'll stay there and go again.

A question - when is their next election ?

United wouldn't be able to afford the compensation package.

City would put a ridiculous figure to ensure that scenario could ever be entertained.

Mourinho is also a big family guy, he knows it would compromise his and their safety.

I'm not interested in how well behaved the manager is, not in the slightest. Ferguson has behaved like a grade A twat for twenty years and there's not a United fan around that gives a shit. Why? Because he has brought success and that's precisely what Mourinho would do here. Bluemoon doesn't represent the majority of City fans on the issue, just as it didn't on the Tevez issue. I know Mancini is quite popular, but turning your noses up at the best in the business? Get real.
