Hahaha...all the angry men are out in force today!

Do yourself a favour then - don't read the thread rather than polluting it with the bile you always post in threads which question Mancini or suggest he may be leaving. You said to me the other day "you just can't help yourself". Now you know why I reminded you of that oft used phrase "the pot calling the kettle black".

I pray for your sake this story is bullshit, because if it isn't you'll be the first poster I seek out! :)

You're actually getting worse! This has nothing to do with Mancini, it's to do with the week in week out Mourinho threads that are oh so tiresome! About 2 months ago you were turning into a decent, well-balanced poster but you've just gone back to your old ways now. Old ways are not good.

The last thing we need is a manager who thinks he is bigger than the club..

But the first thing we need is to win the title - and if Mancini cant do it this year, and the manager with the best track record for doing so becomes available this summer, then the answer is obvious IMO

What, you mean one that wins titles ? ;)

Funny that you describe him as arrogant - that's one of the words I've often heard about the way Mancini relates to his players - along with aloof, distant and cold. Mourinho may (or may not) be arrogant & ill mannered with the press etc but he isn't with the people who matter - his players, cos he's too smart for that

So the perception of the club doesn't matter? Most players praise Fergie so I suppose his behaviour is perfectly acceptable also?

The fact that you compare him to Manicin is laughable, a man who sneakily walks behind an opposition manger and pokes him in the eye. Is the person you want representing Manchester City?

I didnt support City on the basis to see silverware, I supported them due to family connections and the fact that they stood for something. If were prepared to sell our soul and hire him then its a very sad day for this club

Lets not get too high & mighty here; there have have been plenty of characters (on and off the field) in our clubs past who have not always behaved as they should. I don't see the point in trading individual incidents for 'morality' (poke in the eye vs cigar in the eye etc etc),

I also started supporting for family reasons, but What do you mean you supported the club cos they "stood for something" ? What, tell me, did city stand for exactly over and above every other football club. I'll go & get a hanky to wipe away the tear from my eye whilst you compose your reply.

No need for the hanky pal and you're correct we have had many an unsvaoury character in the past, but if we have a choice do we have to acquire an unsavoursy character again, does that justify doing it in the future.

We have a manager widely respected for his behaviour, his humility and who is proving successful. Why would you want to change that.

Yes City stood for something to me, they were the polar opposities of United a club steeped in arrogance, intimidating refs, divine right of the fans to win, belittling supporters of other clubs, it made my support for City to strengthen, along with the camaraderie of the fans.

I have waited along time for success for me personally it will be tainted if we show now humilty in victory. Hope your eyes are not too sore

-- Fri Mar 30, 2012 11:10 am --

Our owners are looking at the looooooooooong run and will have had looked at every angle.

If they got rid of him this would be totally out of character for them. Arabic culture does not really do out of character as far as i can tell.
There is a correct and proper way for everything and always with a calm head.

The report just sounds like Mourinho's crew trying to squeeze a few more quid out of Madrid to keep him.

I think he will stay as the owners will have respect for what he has achieved and the way he has conducted himself. At the outset of the takeover we were told City would be used as a vehicle to promote the UAE, for me personally Mourinho would not reflect positively on City or the UAE
