And that just about sums it up.
All it sums up is your ability to make a sweeping generalisation based on complete ignorance, unless you both know 90% of folk who take speed awareness courses personally.
And I bet neither of you have ever broken the speed limit in your lives.
If only we all were as perfect as you two.

They made a big deal about everyone switching their phones off before it started. Claimed that they had a United player on one course and by the end of it there were half a dozen press photographers waiting outside

Know all twats who owned the road. You may well have been one of them but then again
Arrogant cunts, but very few drug taking dickheads.
Personally I wouldn't give them a choice.
I'd take their licences for a year.
Is their stopping distance still based on cars with no anti lock brakes?I was offered the speed awareness course and a course fee of £86 in place of the £100 and 3 points (clocked at 79 on the A1 in North Yorkshire.78 would have seen me getting away with it)
Because of Covid it was done via Zoom this morning and the four hour course was condensed into two and a half and in fact ran to just over two hours
As others have said what I will take away from the course is the stopping distance just a couple of MPH makes
They used a video of a new mondeo on a dry runway to prove the point of how much 1mph difference makes in stopping distanceIs their stopping distance still based on cars with no anti lock brakes?
Done this thing a couple of times. I’ve rarely had less than six points on my licence.
In my defence, however, I never speed in a 20 or 30 , and virtually never in a 40. I just go fast on motorways and trunk roads when the dry conditions permit.
Have you ever thought of doing it when there isn't a police car behind you?Done this thing a couple of times. I’ve rarely had less than six points on my driving licence in the last 30 years of driving.

All my points have been on latter.
My recalcitrance always prevails.Have you ever thought of doing it when there isn't a police car behind you?

Is that latin for ****? I did a speed awareness course once and by the end wished I'd just taken the fucking points. An hour where we all had to say what we'd done, which most people seemed to treat as a retrial or appeal - I was the only one there who admitted they deserved it. Then another two hours of being patronised to death and made to feel like a murderer. Only thing I learned was how dangerous it is to stop / breakdown on the hard shoulder for any length of time.My recalcitrance always prevails.
The only time I've been fined is on the motorway.
Made the mistake of going to a Champions League game a few years ago in Germany (possibly Schalke) with a mate with a lot of similarities to Jay from the Inbetweeners. Anyway, I did the driving when we got there, and was told by him that there's no speed limits on the autobahns over there. It rang a bell so took his advice. Next thing I know, I get clocked by one of those red laser guns doing about 30mph over the speed limit. I was fucking fuming but to be fair, partly my own stupidity for listening to an absolute gobshite.
Some parts of the autobahn are unrestricted.
This video taken during lockdown shows how bonkers fast the latest hypercars are.
The way it effortlessly goes from 220kph (136mph) to 320kph (200mph) is mental!
... And it keeps pulling.

Those courses certainly bring together a melting pot of social classes sitting uncomfortably together for a few hours. Is that latin for ****?
