She's just provided you with your answer there mate. When you are in love you naturally want to do things to make your partner happy and this can mean giving up certain things. However, some people like to control others and take pleasure out of denying their partner happiness in order to keep them loyal.

It sounds like your gf has megalomaniac tendencies. I hope you've spent some time with your mates. Over the next week sit down and reflect on your relationship. Think about the things that you didn't do because she said so. Ask your uni mates to level with you. You want the trhth. What have they noticed. It could be that she's insecure and was afraid of losing you so sees you going out or communicating with other girls as a threat. Whatever you decide going back with her has to be a new start. She must let you talk with other girls to show that she trusts you otherwise any renewed relationship has absolutely no foundation.

You will have learned something. It's nice to be nice but don't be a pushover. A relationship is a 2 way thing with give and take on both sides.

It's time to walk tall, say 'fuck it' to the world and don't let the bastards drag you down. Stick to your principles, the long term friend is your friend because she treats you the way you like to be treated and vice versa.
