Sporting CP (H) - CL Last 16 | Post Match Thread

Squeaked through into the quarters.

Good chance we'll be drawn some cunts next round.

Mind numbing. As drab as the first leg was exciting. But into last eight. Unlike psg. Lovely. Easy draw please. And defo no English opponents.

Yeah sure.

During Covid my wife and I had a kid. We alternate games now football is back and had to give up one of our season cards, so she had the derby, I had tonight. (In terms of importance, we've already agreed I get Liverpool since she got the derby).

So, now we have context;

1. I make the most of the games I get to.
2. Egan Riley, a player I have yet to watch in person, started.
3. Home appreciation for zinchenko whenever he touched the ball
4. Party atmosphere for carson
5. Had a couple of beers beforehand with work blues
6. Had a couple of beers with brother in law at ground
7. McAtee got 45 mins and I don't think I've seen that many in person with my limited attendance due to family
8. Low stress game to watch city

Great time. You either didn't go, are miserable by nature, or need to lighten up. How on earth did you cope in the 90s?

Right I think we can put it all down to number 5 and 6. You've made an admirable effort to input some positivity into tonight's game and I think we can all agree that indeed 2,3,4 and 7 were positives. It's great to see some youngsters blooded. I don't see how any of that made the game any less boring though. It was a snooze fest whatever way you want to paint it.

As for coping in the 90,'s I coped in the 60s, 70s 80's and 90's thanks. I even survived the Pearce era of I think it was eight goals at home all season. So you have my CV and I stuck with them well before the good times returned. None of this made tonight's game any less boring but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Felt like a very long watch that. But enjoyed it though, and a few more filled seats than I expected
Not the best which was a shame for the fans.Egan
-Riley didn't go wide or forward enough first half which didn't help although he was much better second half. Shame Gabriel's goal chalked off and some other chances didn't go in
