Because Pep respects both the competition and the opposition. It would be rude to play all youngsters. IMHO.

I get that but you’d still expect more than one youngster to play given the circumstances.
I can understand Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Jesus etc playing but why Bernardo, Sterling and Foden?

We were 4-0 up against Leicester and they pulled it back to 4-3 in the blink of an eye against a full strength City.

If we went too weak they could easily get two or three goals in the first half and we'd regret not putting a stronger team out. We can always make changes at half-time if we're comfortable.
