Spurs’ new stadium

So Spurs get some good media coverage as well.

If Spurs were the media darlings that you claim, they wouldn't have been treated so contemptuously by the media over the past month.

Truth is that fans of all clubs, including Spurs, complain about being unfairly treated by the media and about other clubs getting preferential treatment.
To be honest I think Spurs, Chelsea, Everton, and Arsenal all get a lot of negative coverage (just like us). Liverpool and the Rags are the media darlings mainly for commercial reasons but also because they have a stranglehold on a lot of the key people who work in the media. It has been like this for decades and it's why proper matchgoing fans of all colours still despise Liverpool and United.

Spurs have indeed been treated with a bit of contempt re Pochettino, but this is because you are coming up against Man Utd. Imagine having Man Utd and now Liverpool as your rivals. City get the most hostile coverage in european football because of the Arab Sheikh ownership. Feeds a political climate hostile to foreign money.

surely they have to be told Wembley's your fucking home for the rest of the season now! hopefully once this seasons finished it will be the last time the fuckers visit the shithole in a very long time, and they slowly implode under the debt and a decline in form as the manager and decent players get picked off due to levy stashing the cash in his shoeboxes.

They will not play in the new stadium this season - been saying it for over a year.

As the major rivals of Utd and Liverpool, we get 90% of the flak. When did the ownwrship of EVerton ever get discussed in the media. I think David Conn has touched on it a couple of occasions- but probably been scared off. Alisher Usmanov is allegedly the man behind Moshiri. He used to own a big chunk of Arsenal, and now sponsors Everton's training ground. Leicester owned by King Power - allied politically to Thai Junta. Their owners have been near deified following the tragedy but formerly not one word of criticism.

I agree we get the most flak because we are now a threat but many of the other clubs are often mocked. For example Liverpool got more credit for losing the Champs League final than Chelsea did when they won it. Liverpool and United fans dominate social media and that sets the agenda for most of the mainstream media. The Thai example you mention is so true. We were crucified when Thaksin owned us. Yet he was democratically elected and the murderous military regime which replaced him were seen as the good guys in the British press!
