Spurs’ new stadium

Just had a look at the rules and can’t find that one, just one about it being up to the Premier League board. (Rules K5 and K6). However there is an argument that they are breaking rule K4.2.

K4. No Club shall have or enter into a ground-sharing agreement in respect of its Stadium unless the agreement contains legally enforceable provisions to the effect that:
K.4.1. the playing of the Club’s League Matches at the Stadium shall always take precedence over the activities of the other party to the agreement; and
K.4.2. the Club shall have the ability to postpone other activities scheduled to take place on the pitch in the 48 hours immediately preceding the kick-off of a League Match where, in the reasonable opinion of the Club, there is a risk that such activity might result in the subsequent postponement or abandonment of the League Match.
If Spurs had applied to play at Wembley the entire season then K42 would have been binding and the Premier League would have arranged fixtures around other events taking place to ensure Spurs were away on those dates. As this was a ''short notice'' need to hire Wembley then obviously existing contractual events the stadium were due to host cannot be moved. The whole thing is a shambles but I am not holding my breath on any action taken against Spurs.

Neither am I.

I can't see what's all the moaning for, it's a football game, same pitch for 2 teams, probably best to meet at Wembley then 1st game at the new stadium with the crowd all manic

Is this a wind up? The second bit makes sense but the first ignores a fairly major element relating to our style of play.

Another frustration with this is the approach the Jaguars clearly have towards the game that caused all this fuss. They were on the piss in some club last night and 4 of them got locked up for not paying a £50k bar bill. They must be taking the fixture very seriously. Not.

Never mind possible/potential injury to 50 million pound players. We left the 1970's behind somewhile ago. (Cardiff excepted)

Oh and then there is the minor problem of the away fans being fucked over, but yeh, both teams play on the same pitch so no problem.

Sure there is some sort of Covenant say no football can be played at Twickenham.

Sort of true. Have lived in the area for years.
The locals just won’t have football matches there because of the perception of us supporters.

Strolling Bones, Rihanna, the annual rugby sevens beer fest, come on in.

Football - no chance.

Feel sympathy for Spurs supporters but there management should be deemed not ‘fit and proper’
