Spurs’ new stadium

Contractors will spot that a mile off. You don’t usually survive in that game by being a choirboy.

The sparks on there will be taking the piss at the minute. If you was on £25 an hour on a job which is a huge fuck up, you’d be dragging it out as much as you can. Well, I would be anyway. Fuck them.

I think the problems coming up now are only caused by the exception made.
There are many reasons why a club should only use 1 ground per season.
If spurs can't hand in all certificates for the new stadium, they should have had a safe plan B, in May.
Otherwise they cannot play PL that year, should be the consequence.
Rule are there to keep up quality in a multi billion business.

Now an exception is made and trouble is on:
possible fixture congestion, multiple away games, trouble for visiting fans, fairness issues for all PL clubs...

For City, I wouldn't be too much concerned about multiple away games at season end,
it might even be an advantage in case the league is won early. But for City fans it wouldn't be great.

A two days rest before the League cup match could in a way be managed by rotation, depending on the opponent,
not so much for the CL match (depends much more on the opponent). But it's a disadvantage for our players.

My biggest concern is about injuries, thinking about the Wembley pitch after the NFL period.
Who would guarantee the standard pitch quality?
Any professional greenkeepers on here??

Even if Wembley's pitch is a semi synthetical Desso grassmaster system,
damages might have an impact, especially after a rainy October.

pitch problems already turned up in 2014 (SIX days after an NFL match, not only 1 day):

City were in the same position 10 years ago an not kicked out of Europe. Spurs just have to do what City did and find another ground to complete the fixture. no matter where it is.

By the way, the ref ensures the pitch is playable - has been the case for 100 years.

What on earth are you talking about? the EB Streymur game was NEVER rearranged it was set up in Barnsley from the off due to new pitch seeding problems.

That's what's baffling. The Premier League should have already taken control of the situation to remove the uncertainty and confusion for the sake of the fans. They should already be in a dialogue with City to work out an acceptable alternative on the same date and then they should tell Spurs what they have to do, no ifs or buts. If Spurs don't like it, 3 points to City and our lads can have a rest.

That is out of the question, for the simple reason that City would get 3 points & a rest.

So even if Spurs agreed to that, there are a whole bunch of other clubs, particularly two in red, who wouldn't.

So the match will be played. And if said clubs had their way, it would be at a time and place to cause the most possible inconvenience to City. So we must plain refuse anything which doesn't suit us & insist they stick to the rules & punish Spurs, unless they make absolutely sure we are happy with the compromise.

And the club should insist Spurs pay for our away fans' travel.

It's got nowt to do with the other clubs, FA rules state, that if a club cannot fullfil it's comitment to host a fixture then it forfiets the game and a 3-0 win is afforded to the opposition, whether these rules apply to the premier leagues hasn't been established, but if spurs cannot find a venue or suitable date then they should rightly forfiet, and no other team can have an issue.

So fuck the rags and scousers they have no say in it.

Yes they do.

As do Arsenal & everyone else. And if anyone tries to give us 3 points, they will put a stop to it, unless they all get 3 points.

The game will be played.

But they have their chance to get 3 points that weekend playing their fixture, so cannot claim anything, spurs forfieting has fuck all to do with them and they cannot contest an FA rule, unless one is offering to host the match free of charge so we can play and don't get the points

For one, it's the Premier League & two, they can & would contest it & win.

Just as they quickly had ffp brought in on a whim.

They would see Spurs kicked out of the competition before allowing us to be gifted 3 points.

Neither will happen. The game will be played.

So we need to stand up & make sure it happens on our terms.
