Spurs’ new stadium

Not a month to go ... more like two months and two days to go ...

The game is scheduled for 28th October so yeah wait till around start of October at least to find anything substantial about it ...

Apologies had it in my head it was end of September. There must surly be a cut off point though finding another venue organising policing and security can’t be done at the drop of the hat with a few phone calls. There is no way Wembley can be used.

It’s months away from being ready this!
After Xmas I reckon.

Has anyone got a link to a good independent analysis of the total stadium cost and Spurs' real financial situation?

All I can find are " everything is roses growing out of my arse" reports from Levy and his clones or Arsenal wums rubbishing the whole thing?

February or March I’ve been told mate!

Well the guy giving regular updates posted his latest one yesterday.
Going off his comments and looking at what needs to be done and cleared and given they still need to arrange 2 games there prior to us to get their certificates it's really looking long odds against us playing there in october

I know lets film it and do nowt for 45 mins, those electrical cables will need to be done again

Looks like it’s the sprinkler system and it’s pressurised to at least 6 bar and up to 15 bar so not a lot can be done till all the water drains out of the system

This game is not going to take place this year. Wembley is a turnip patch from 28th Octover for 2 weeks.

So basically we suffer for spurs fuck up over the time they thought it would be ready by,definitely don’t wont to be seeing this game moved to the backend of the season as has been muted on here...

Bloody cheap skates.
Surely they bought a dry sprinkler system for the stadiun as there wont be minimal heating on during the winter? (Dry Sprinkler System: Air in pipes under pressure. Bulb breaks, pressure drop detected and water released into sprinkler pipes.)

The only week that is currently free is the week after the Spurs (H) game and the Utd (A) game will Probably be played then as one of City/Utd should be in the FA Cup QF.

Having been drawn at home to Watford, Spurs have applied to the board of the Football League for dispensation to stage the Carabao Cup third round tie at Stadium MK: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45359584

With the match due to be played on 25 or 26 September, their new stadium won't be ready and Wembley is unavailable because it's booked out by the NFL that week. So no reason Spurs can't apply for dispensation to stage our league game with them at another venue if the new stadium isn't ready, given that Wembley is also unavailable on that date. Any other decision would be a travesty - why should we have our fixture list fucked up for reasons that have nothing to do with us?

I said that they should have to do this - there are about 80 other grounds in England and Wales they could use, but they want a 60k plus one no doubt as don't want to lose money.

Also the VAR applied to all premier league grounds in the league cup, and I doubt MK would be set up for one game so another possible complication.

Be easier to just hold it at Watford. As Spurs' ground is not fit for purpose, they should forfeit home advantage, in my opinion.

I disagree about playing it at Watford. Spurs have been drawn at home, and, given the unavailability of other stadia, if they can procure a suitable one-off venue, I'd give them dispensation to play there. (Mind you, their Supporters' Trust is unhappy - they reckon that Spurs fans supported finding another venue ahead of switching the tie, but that it should have been a venue within the M25. The Trust's officers are planning to boycott the game anyway in solidarity with AFC Wimbledon, given the circumstances in which MK Dons came into being.)

If they get dispensation to play at MK, then in my view that sets a precedent for playing us at a different venue, too. In our case, it should be the London Stadium, which isn't in use on the weekend in question and would allow Spurs to offer a seat to all their season-ticket holders and an allocation of 3K seats to our fans.

It's clearly the most sensible solution, but while the Football League were always open to Spurs using another stadium to host games in their competition, the Premier League have different rules and are currently firmly against the idea of a 3rd stadium being used, so not sure it will act as a precedent. Let's hope it does though, for the sake of common sense if nothing else.
