Spurs’ new stadium

He stadium might look complete but teething issues and doing all the snagging in a building of that size and complexity would I should imagine take ages. Then there will be a huge ammount of testing of services to conduct. Fire systems, sprinkler, electrical circuits, drainage, alarms, plumbing, cctv, PA, computer systems. You name it, it's probably all in that stadium all needing approval, then there will need to be staff training which all takes time and scrutiny will no doubt be tight after Grenfell. These things take months on a building that size not a couple of weeks.

Correct and why I said Levy been new all this and has strung the fa along with his lies.

Completely agree. They really shouldn't be allowed to continue dragging this out indefinitely. The Premier League should have told them that December 15 against Burnley was their final deadline. Miss that and they have to complete the season at Wembley. Personally, I'd have been even stricter than that, but the PL have bent over backwards to accommodate them and Spurs are taking the piss now.

It’s a disgrace that a game of football will take place on that pitch after the NFL game. I had a couple of minutes of viewing of last weekends game there and the pitch didn’t look great and that was 5 minutes in.

The gauling thing with Spurs is they have not made any gesture to apologise, they should be reimbursing the City fans who paid for their travel and lost out not City. Their manager is even saying that what’s happened is a leveller in regards the state of the pitch.

I hope we put this lot to the sword they deserve it.

Don’t they have 2 pitches that slide in and out?
Perhaps it's just that photo. UEFA pitch size is 105m by 68m. NFL is 91.44 m by 48.8m so they should be able to configure the seats for the larger football dimensions and then make it narrower for the NFL games. Perhaps it's not the problem that I first thought but not ideal for watching the NFL games.

They have to have loads of space on the sidelines for NFL anyway due to the all the people that stand there during the match. It seems pretty much standard from the (admittedly very little) NFL I've seen on TV.

They won’t play in it this season. Been saying it for months. Construction will effectively shut down from 14th December and won’t get going again until early January.

Been saying this for a year. The programme was unachievable.
Tbf you keep pushing this with a bit of insider knowledge, wonder which know-nowt spurs fan will be on to say all is well next.

For the 1994 world cup the pitches were too narrow and needed to be modified so it should not be a problem.

i have some guys who supply fixings etc on the project and they reckon march at the earliest as it stands! absolute joke

They won’t play in it. Lots still to do.

they should get some sort of punishment then mate as they have lead the premier league, opponents and fans a merry dance at alot of messing around and expense! if it was us we would have been hammered with some sort of punishment no doubt!

They won't need to reconfigure the seating as the PL pitch fits perfectly well in the space available.

why isn't played at the Etihad as a home game for the spuds, therefore spuds are punished for not finishing on time...... instead City are punished and have to play on a dodge pitch ….

The rest of the league would be pointing the finger of us gaining an advantage by having one extra home game.

There was no way round this, apart from Spurs being honest and giving The Football Association sooner notice they needed to use Wembley. The good thing that will come out of this is the spiralling building costs will cripple Spurs for years. How they have acted they deserve it.

I understand what you are saying but spuds would have the home support we would only have the 3000 away support …...

Should have played this match at either the Emirates or at West Ham. It’s a joke having to play on a ploughed field.

The premier rule says you can’t play at more than 2 grounds.
Just had a look at the rules and can’t find that one, just one about it being up to the Premier League board. (Rules K5 and K6). However there is an argument that they are breaking rule K4.2.

K4. No Club shall have or enter into a ground-sharing agreement in respect of its Stadium unless the agreement contains legally enforceable provisions to the effect that:
K.4.1. the playing of the Club’s League Matches at the Stadium shall always take precedence over the activities of the other party to the agreement; and
K.4.2. the Club shall have the ability to postpone other activities scheduled to take place on the pitch in the 48 hours immediately preceding the kick-off of a League Match where, in the reasonable opinion of the Club, there is a risk that such activity might result in the subsequent postponement or abandonment of the League Match.
