To be honest, she hasn't said anything yet about her expectations for the league next season apart from her opinion that she thinks they will struggle if Alderweireld leaves. I expect she will think that Spurs will finish below them as she's very pessimistic in relation to football. She's not what I consider a ''typical' Spurs fan.

Incidentally, all the Arsenal fans I have spoken to do think they will finish ahead of Spurs.
Yeah herself is extremely optimistic with the new coach coming in, don't think many of them appreciate just how big a rebuilding job they have on.

Said it before will say it again... They will never win anything with the spending they wont commit to. £7m apart on Grealish jeez, bunch of penny pinchers

There was a time when I feared them, but their business model has peaked in achievement, the owner is more interested in money than football. Poch will leave, Kane will follow

They'll continue to get applauded for keeping such a low wage budget and transfer expenditure whilst still finishing top 4/top 6, but if they don't invest in the squad in the coming years like they need to they won't win anything more than a domestic cup, if that.

Jack Pitt Brooke may an interesting point in the Indy football podcast - Spurs haven't signed anyone who goes straight into their first team since they signed Dele Alli 3 years ago (and you could argue he wasn't brought in as a guy who was going straight into the XI at first). Everyone they've signed since has been a bench player at best. Now that they have ambitions of winning things, they're unlikely to be able to use their strong arm tactics on transfer fees when they're the ones trying to buy the better players, especially when they consistently leave it so late in the window to do business. They're never going to get a really good starting XI player on deadline day without paying money they're not comfortable with. Personally, I think this season's huge for them. They have to get CL football this year and get close to challenging for the league, otherwise players like Eriksen, Kane, Alli, Lloris et al are likely to start thinking "if not now, then when are we ever going to win anything"

Is that podcast any good?

Personally I think their transfer window is quite arrogant, the seem to think they can get away with not spending on players, whether that's on fees or salary, and they'll just get the same results.

I like it. Doesn't take itself particularly seriously and all the guests are young (at least compared to the Guardian, Times, Totally Football Show etc.) and have interesting opinions. JBP is also a City fan, which is good; although he doesn't give himself away that easily (he does in the most recent episode on the Community Shield). I also like that it's shorter than most podcasts - 30-45 minutes rather than the 60+ minutes that a lot of podcasts churn out.
