Spurs (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Every one and their brother just signed someone quality on loan or spend to fill gaps. We ditch a player who had been key to our attack and try to plug him with a kid not to mention no signings of anyone who could step into the team. Said here before of late but it feels like the beginning of a shite few seasons until we make some paradigm changes.

Ball back and forth, accept a pass stop ball tap pass to the side... Stand over ball roll ball to other foot, short aimless pass with no attacking intent: repeat repeat repeat... no service not urgency no grit no heart no leadership on the pitch. Lose ball... look like chickens with heads cut off trying to scramble to avoid conceding.
Pep today looked checked out... almost comically do with that last Grealish play where Pep was reacting.

Something has to give.

Our genius tactic made Spud's rubbish defence looked like a great wall.
I often wonder how we prepare for this in training because we don't have a clue come matchday when we have to try and break a team down.

We set up the same way in our last 3 games and won them all. The 2 games we lost before that, we set up differently.

We played badly. That's it. Pep didn't even tinker, he kept the defence as similar as possible with Stones out injured. Dias cannot play wide like Stones does. He picked Alvarez over De Bruyne because De Bruyne has been really poor, and was again when he came on.

Would I like to see the likes of Dias, Laporte, KDB starting? Yes. But I don't watch them train, and I don't have experience of winning more titles than any other living manager.
