Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I think it's so obvious that Cherki is multiple levels above our other attackers at the moment and the only one capable of creating good football. He deserves to play with KDB and David Silva.

First off the ref and var seriously/deliberately fucked us over yet again but make no mistake that second half performance from the players through to pep was an absolute disgrace.
We completely lost our shape second half with players fragmented all over the pitch
We were that bad we gave the worst spurs side in memory the confidance they’ve missed all season.
It was that bad we reverted to side to side shite last 20 minutes.
Our highest paid player thinks he can just turn up and have a jolly every week because he knows we don’t play to his strength.
Pep scared to bench him, ait nouri is a disaster of a signing along with reinders.
All the players bar guehi and kus and Bernardo was shite.
Reduced to walking football yet again and completely out of ideas just like the manager unfortunately.
No chance we win the league.

Pep knows this team ain’t good enough yet! But the way we play we give teams so many easier chances because we don’t defend deep as a team! Every team we play we up against a defensive structure who work on defending!
But waspish I think they would perform much better under a new coach. Doesn’t seem like Pep knows how to coach this team. He looks lost. We should’ve come out in a second half on fire because we were pissing about in the first half. Doesn’t take a genius to know that Spurs would come out guns blazing.

Right but a foul on the pitch can’t be awarded when the balls out of play. If the ref had seen it, he’d have had the corner retaken, which happens pretty often.
He was fouled and held down

Loads of other teams get pubs for that

End of

Again this thread will be an interesting read.
I stick to my ht opinion - we were the better of 2 poor sides for 45 minutes
Frank did his job at ht - changed formation, possibly as a result of an injury, but at least changed.
Pep dosed them with sleeping pills - at least that's what I assume is happening.
We have SO many problems currently it's tough to know where to start.
I was crying out for someone to start alongside Rodders - but Nico O looked lost and should have stayed at LB providing stability in an untried back 4.
Rodders is still a ghost of his Ballon D'or version - if Nico G was fit put him in there (although he looks the sort who takes a couple of games to get back at it)
Semenyo - hhhmmm needs to be much stronger.
Haaland is a passenger the way we play, we're nowhere near quick enough to get the best out of him.
Officiating was an UTTER disagrace, but we have to be better than we were.

Honestly, I don't think that we are playing any worse than we were during our winning run.

We were winging it every match then - think of Leeds and Fulham - and were lucky to secure the absolute maximum points, considering the way that we were playing. At the back, especially.

This run of the past few results was always coming.

It's amazing that we are still where we are in the league, but today's match was an accurate summary of where we are, this season.

I'd love to know what we actually do in training - and what others do?
Rondos and eat Riyad pasta by the looks of it

Against the worst current form team and we played the same game we did against the Rags. Semenyo performance was the worst i’ve seen from a City player this season. If he hadn’t of scored I’d say the worse in 5 years. Christ how we missed Doku. It was all So slow, ponderous, predictable , insipid and so bloody boring. Where has the joie de vivre fcuked off to?

joie de vivre

Just pass side to side to side then backwards, we clearly dont work on corners or quick counter attacks

NOR is not the problem ffs a young kid bailing out seasoned pros , give your head a shake ffs ;-)
Never said he was THE problem. He was poor in the second half but he will get better

Complacent, wasteful, boring, outdated shite that we persist with every week and sometimes it works, but more and more often it isn’t working and we have absolutely no idea how to change it. 11 robots in fucking limp mode being directed by a legend of a man that can’t be arsed any more.

That Tottenham side shouldn’t have had anything to fight for second half but we let them off the hook by not putting the game out of sight and their manager clearly said something they bought into.

Fuck off.

Going forward it might be the kick up the arse the club needs..

We say that quicker a lot over the last 6 months but it very rarely happens? We are just too 4 contenders now going forward and not ever going to be close to that City. Can’t believe that I’m watching this club play like this
