Spurs (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Quickly realizing how special this team was for so long.

That simply is not sustainable.

Yep... we got boned on the SoLanky goal but I'm done with all of the lot here who blame our woes on the refs. We are a limp squad with very little if any backbone. We fold like brittle plastic deck chairs at the slightest pressure. We used to spend the last 10 minutes of a game when we needed a result relentlessly peppering the goal... we spent 6 minutes of the nine in injury time fucking about.

Hopefully we can find some semblance of a spine in the coming month and Arse do their usual choke job... Over the last 5 they haven't been great and we very well should have reeled them in.

Gonna take a hiatus for awhile as this just isn't fun anymore and the negativity here really does my head in.

I said Pep fucked up Doku by leaving him on too long against Madrid away and got pelters for it, he was fully fit and firing until fatigue fucked him over that game and he hasn’t been the same since. To be at his best he needs to be 100% fit.
I think that's harsh on Pep. Injuries have sadly been a big part of his career for as long as he's been a professional. Probably understandable given his playstyle.

It's my opinion which you and others will not agree with, fine by me. But you pull virtually every post of my mine up, others are equally as critical but you seem to avoid them
Yours stand out because of the sheer amount of them. Even when you try and post something with a minuscule of praise it comes with some kind of doom mongering afterwards.

Another second half capitulation.

How many more times?

What does Pep say to the team at half-time to get them ready and up for the 2nd half?

We all knew how Spurs were going to come out and start the 2nd half and we never matched them or bettered them.

And the invertible happened.

What does he say? Not the same things he used to say on his first 8 years ago. People change.

In the 2nd half two players dragged Haaland down in the box at a corner, no penalty awarded.
Baffling.
It’s fucking destroying any enjoyment in the game. Yes our performance is not helping, but you see Haaland getting dragged to the ground and they say the ball wasn’t in play, utter bollocks and funny enough it was never shown. Then you have solanke kicking Guehis leg onto the ball so it goes in and not a fucking wiff of a VAR review and just gary fucking neville screaming it’s fine to the VAR team listening to his every word.

It’s killing any enjoyment in the game.

You'll be on your knees for Pep to return the morning Maresca is announced to replace him

I want somebody with an iron fist and takes no shit, Mancini return would be a great choice, But thats never going to happen, Kompany ? i dont think he's ready but the club and fans would welcome him home

next weekend the dippers will come out at 100mph.. their fans will be rabid (cos they despise us) and will be screaming for every decision… we’ll get weak coward officials who will fully oblige

They’ll smash us
The back of the couch beckons. I can only foresee a thrashing. There’s no leadership on the pitch no leadership from the coaching staff. Dips are gradually finding some form and they’ll attack our tepid midfield and our young defenders.

That may be so Ray, but we're the ones who HAVE to make something happen, and, unless we make some serious headway on Arsenal in the next few months, we aren't gonna be winning this title, and that's the bottom line with games now counting down fast ...... we can't even trust our own performances anymore, and Arsenal know it.
This season looks like it will a cup or two year. Can’t see the league happening now. Too much flattering to deceive just now.

ATM in my head I'd prefer him to stay and see how we adapt with a fully fit and firing squad but for the first time I wouldn't put up too much of an argument if he was to call it a day. Certainly not sacked like some suggest, but at the end of the season so he walks with some dignity and hopefully a trophy or two.
End of season mate. We need a change.

His style only works with precise and sustained control. Midfield of prime Kev, Gundogan, Rodri and we control any team. At our own pace. Pep’s Barca had a similar triumvirate in Xaxi, Iniesta and Busquets. Complete control.

The style cannot be replicated with midfielders the likes of Reijnders, Lewis, an old and worn out Bernardo and a not ever coming back to his best Rodders.

In this circumstance, Pep has to change, to suit the chess pieces he has. He has shown over the past 2 seasons, he is not going to and I’d go as far as to say he doesn’t know how to.

Needs to go end of season and bring a coach who adapts to the players not one who expects them to adapt to his method.
