More from the Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to Sky Sports:
"It was a big satisfaction [to win] - the way we played, [with] the skinny and small guys to see how clever they are to win the balls
"Of course Tottenham have quality and a better pitch would also suit them."
On the pitch:
"It’s a question for the Premier League and Tottenham. We were invited to come here today for the fixture hopefully they can solve that problem."
On Mahrez:
"He’s playing at a high levels scoring goals and making a lot of assists. He’s a guy who doesn’t lose the ball and gives us everything he gives us in that extra pass.
"Of course he knew the [Leicester] owner and for all the Leicester family it's tough and complicated because a lot of people passed away. Here though, he did really good, he was focused and did a great job.
More from Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to Sky Sports:
"We missed a lot. You cannot expect against Tottenham to score a lot of goals, the pitch was complicated and we played against a physical team - with [Mousa] Dembele, [Davinson] Sanchez, [Toby] Alderweireld, [Eric] Dier - incredible physicality and the pitch was so complicated, it was so difficult.
"In the first 15-20 minutes of the second-half we should have the game over and the big events, like the Champions League, if we are not more clinical, sooner or later we are not going to win."
Man City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a great victory in special conditions, against one of the most physical teams in Europe. We had many chances. We have to score and we didn’t. That is why hopefully we will improve in the future.
"It was not football conditions to play. We reacted well. For our players and the players of Tottenham, hopefully they will sort the problem for the future."
