Spurs (A) Post match Thread

Im with you in that last night was uncomfortable viewing because of that disgrace of a pitch.

When Merlin fluffed that sitter i was convinced it would bit us on the arse and but for that disgrace of a pitch it would have done.

It was uncomfortable to watch on a disgrace of a pitch and like you when the wizard fluffed it I thought for a moment the football gods might exact their revenge, but they didn't and I'm beginning to think typical City is finally dead, I know about the Mahrez missed penalty, the handball goal and the terrible decisions that go against us and of course everything has to be framed against a great team and a great manager, and great teams make their own luck blah, blah....But, unlike even the fairly recent past, I had a feeling we'd be alright and now, for the first time when I say I believe we'll win the league, I mean I believe we'll win the league, not I hope we'll win it.

Agree. This side is that good now we can overcome the odd bit of bad luck, shit decision or as you say, typical City moment.

As a rule of thumb i watch us now almost nerveless which is telling, last night aside.

Get the fuck in. 3 greats points without being at out best. We all know he wasn't great.

We need to get De Bruyne minutes before we see him back to his best.

Fernandinho was immense but clearly tired after around 75 minutes - not unsurprisingly. And Bernardo is just a delight to watch.

I thought Sissoko had a great game for them but we should have been 3-0 up before that chance Lamela had to equalise.

Sissoko had more than a shade of the Yayas about him last night.

Very impressive.

I keep reading Dippers and journalists still talking about how we look shaky at the back? 10 hours without conceding a goal seems to mean nothing to them. I think I read we have allowed a ridiculously low number of shots all season too?

If that match had been played on a good pitch I think we would have won comfortably. At times the pitch made it a bit of a lottery so it was pretty worrying to watch. The match itself is barely worth analyzing.

Totally agree it would have been a walk in the park on a normal Wembley surface.

Same sh*t as last season - we have no defence, but still won the league at a canter.

I am of similar mindset this afternoon, if we are undefeated after the Chelsea game we will not be stopped. This weekend Liverpool would have been hoping we would have dropped points and that travesty of a football pitch could have provided them that opportunity, fortunately for us this didnt happen. It must be soul destroying for the rest of the league and week after week the belief will wilt away from them all.
