we cannot affect what the ref does..
we can only affect what we do and what the other team does..

there are people trying to get the excuses in before the game even starts......play well (like we have for the vast majority of the season) and what the ref does wont affect the game.....the losses to liverpool and Utd were nothing to do with poor reffing decisions (though there were poor decisions in the games)...we just weren't at the level required consistently in any of those games. As pep says, its al about the boxes and we were poor in both in those 3 games....not finishing chances and defensively all over the place with individual and team errors.

Poor refereeing decisions had a great deal to do with those results. We didn't play as well as we can and made plenty of mistakes but those decisions had a huge impact.

Today I suspect will be close and in close games poor decisions have a greater impact. We have consistently been on the end of those kind of decisions against Spurs. Handball for it hitting Sterling's back. Walker's push on Sterling in the box. Clear offsides for goals not called. Kane and Alli's tackles the last time. Referee's have affected many recent games against them.

we have been on the end of bad decisions all season....they havent affected results cause we have played so they don't........We cannot control the decisions the ref makes....we can control how we play.
We were terrible in the first half at afield and got stuffed because of it.
We were awful int eh second half against utd and gave them 3 goals......

None of that is down to the ref but the way we played.....

Blaming ref's masks the issues and sops us improving as we aren't looking at the real cause of why we lost those games.

Referee decisions against better teams will affect games much more than against weaker teams as well you know. We weren't terrible in the first 10 minutes away at Liverpool until they got an offside goal and you don't think that affected the result and performance? A clear penalty and goal for us also not given and yet somehow that doesn't affect the result despite us then having an away goal or two and being able to approach the home game differently? Then a goal in the hole leg disallowed that would have put us 2 up at half time.

Again 3-2 down against the rags and a clear penalty and red card not given. Of course we didn't play at our best that 2nd half but it's frankly ridiculous to say that those kind of decisions don't affect results because they do.

Clean up on aisle four. 4-0 Spurs? Don't make me laugh.

Why exactly is my prediction so laughable apparently??

This game reminds me of the last season at white hart lane game, it’s gonna be awful - quote me afterwards.

Im not saying they don't affect results...Im saying we cannot keep using them as excuses....because we cannot control the ref's decisions. We have to make sure they don't affect games. Our performance levels in the last 3 games have not been anywhere near (besides the first half at home to liverpool and the last 3o mis of the first half vs utd) what they can be....FI we had been clinical int he first half against utd that ref decision wouldn't have affected the game.....if our defending had been better for the second and third goal vs utd we wouldn't be talking about a loss regardless of the ref still getting that decision wrong.

Of course we can use them as excuses because they shouldn't happen with that kind of frequency (especially against Spurs). Other teams can have an off day and still win by the odd goal (look at the rags for example) but when a team has incorrect decisions go against it in these tight games, then it makes a huge difference.

I would love us to play beautiful football every game and win comfortably so it takes the ref out of the equation. Players are tired and not quite functioning at their optimum level and so it is unlikely we can overcome the ref away at places like Liverpool and Spurs.

Having said that, we're better than them and if we play at our best, I expect us to beat them. If we don't, I hope it's because Spurs have played well and deserved it, not because they have been given a helping hand.

So no Aguero , Stones , Fenandinho out suspended , Mendy(played for 1st half for EDS, I understand).
Is Bernardo Silva fit to play ?. Thought I read somewhere he was injured. Hope not.
Put in an Arsenal (A) performance - show all the Media vultures what a good team we are.
