I don`t like us throwing cup games but understand how the injuries could hurt us if we carry on deeper into the Carabao Cup.
Yes, if we don't have any intention of taking this comp seriously then this is the round to go out in. Bit of a shame really, as I thought the trips to Wembley in late Feb we've had previously with this cup have been great.I don`t like us throwing cup games but understand how the injuries could hurt us if we carry on deeper into the Carabao Cup.
That's really low odds for a Spurs win, usually whoever we play are about 6 or 8 to 1 of even higherSpursy are 2/1 for this the bookies possibly haven't caught up yet as we are 11/10.
Do we even have fringe players atm?Pep saying it be fringe players and academy players for the spurs game
Do we even have fringe players atm?
Normally I'd agree with you. He almost always goes stronger than we think he will. But the situation is pretty dire with regard to injuries. I think you'll see at least half youngsters and fringe players. No chance Pep will play lots of kids in this. It will be a strong side like usual in this comp, the more I think about it O'reilly is the only potential starter from the eds. I've changed my team to: Ortega, Lewis, Akanji, Stones, Ake, O'reilly, Nunes, Bernardo, Mcatee, Gundogan, Foden
EditedCarson has to play… Up Front
Carson, Esbrand, Hamilton, Mcatee, Nunes, O Reilly, . 2-2-1 formation. 6 players should do it against Spursy's all out attack. 6 behind the ball for 85 mins, then catch them on the break 90th min . O'reilly winner . Spurs trophy less again
Yea it’s not going to happen. Even our ‘fringe side’, would be a first team for most clubs. When has Pep ever done a Pellegrini v Chelsea?
No chance he only plays kids.
It will be more like the Community Shield: some senior players plus a couple of squad players and academy lads.
Im not that convinced that our fringe side would make it many top half clubs really - some will - but our squad is not as deep as the meeja make outYea it’s not going to happen. Even our ‘fringe side’, would be a first team for most clubs.
They’ll be a couple of youngsters - I don’t include Mcatee or Lewis as youngsters now and mainly first team players
mcatee was on the bench 10 times for sheff united last season for example. Kalvin Phillips another example hasnt done anything since leaving city.Im not that convinced that our fringe side would make it many top half clubs really - some will - but our squad is not as deep as the meeja make out
Can’t EDS team be filled by U18 squad stepping up on this occasion?EDS playing the night before,
Nunes McAtee Foden Savio
Gundo O'Reilly
Ake Dias Stones Lewis
Ortega
at a guess.
