Didsbury Dave said:During the minute's silence a lone voice( which sounded Irish to me) bellowed out ' come on spurs!' from somewhere in the Colin bell stand. Noone reacted to it, which is usually how these things get out of hand :One idiot and 200 people shouting 'shhhhhhhhh'. I was fleetingly glad this hadn't happened and then forgot all about it.
At half time as I had a drink I heard a kerfuffle down the concourse. A pack of
Blues appeared to be shouting at some huge lump of a guy who was trying to walk past and ignore them. There was a bit of pushing and it all was a bit confusing. 3 or 4 minutes later there was another kerfuffle, this time I was nearer. A huge, bearded guy was being escorted by stewards from the stand. He had a spurs hat on. Again, people had rounded on him and I realised what was going on; he was the one who destroyed the minute's silence and the good old citizens of the Colin bell upper tier were throwing the prick out. Everyone was shouting 'you disrespectful bastard' in his face as he has to walk the walk of shame down the concourse.
Anyone else see this incident?
i sit in 234 in the north stand close to the corner with colin bell,i deffo heard a irish voice saying come on spurs,i fealt that it came from 1 of the hospitality boxes, probably felt more safe shouting it in one of them as opposed to in general seats, totally utterly disgraceful, like u said no-one reacted during the minutes silence thank god
