Spurs (H) 2nd Leg - Post Match Thread

Have no problem with Llorente's goal. If that's not given, the game's gone. But it was deliberated over for quite a while until they came to their decision. They seemed to come to the decision on our disallowed goal more quickly, so seemingly a clear offside. But can someone clear up the offside rule for me. I thought if the defending player played it back and it was deflected that it wasn't offside? I seem to remember something similar in a Liverpool v Spurs game a couple of seasons ago, Lovren the defender I think but can't remember the exact situation.
Scratch that, I've just seen the video above and its handball, bent bastards.

I think you should be taking your hat off to the team for going from first whistle til last.

I said on here a few weeks ago that any poster coming on picking holes and highlighting players should do one, this part of the season, the tail end of the season when the team have gave it their all for months and months, it's all about the results and not the performance.

Yeah?
No mate it's the biggest game of the year, Pep & owners want this whether you or me don't, the players did give all & for the neutrals it was class but we havnt learnt anything from Monaco & Liverpool we just bottle this big occasions. That goal hand or not it was shit.

Loris although conceded 4 was class with his hands something Ederson has to get better with.

If that's your genuine take, you should never bother watching another game of football again, because you're fucking clueless if you think Gundogan played anything less than brilliantly tonight, and Mendy was fine.

Find another sport to watch, cricket has just started for the year.
Awww am I not allowed an opinion? Your opinion is he played brilliant, my opinion is he was poor. Leave it at that and stop with the nonsense. Cheers

Laporte bottled the occasion and Ederson was poor. David Silva is declining at an alarming rate now, which is sad to see.

Ederson came and flapped at the first corner before the second one from the other side went in.

I thought the rest of the lads were bloody brilliant and very proud they got a deserved victory on the night.

Walker had another good game.
You can't blame ederson. We had 3 players around lorente for his goal, we lòst this in the first leg.

If we'd started the first leg at this intensity of tonight we'd be through, as simple as that .

As soon as we went ahead Pep should have closed it off, we looked vunrable & gaps were showing.

I think we do not have the wherewithal to maintain that kind of game for any length of time. We are an attacking side, pure and simple. Everybody on the pitch plays football with one notion - attack. Defend when you have to, and try to do it well, but to choke up a game and invite a team to give it a go is not the way we have been set up. It would work. We can manage a game rather well when we have a couple of goals cushion but when it's on a knife edge and we need a two goal margin, any mistake leaves a set of teeth marks on the sky blue arse.

Thought they both played well today, especially gundogan.
You genuinely thought Mendy played well? Good this football lark isn’t it, opinions opinions, be boring if we all thought the same.

Always amuses me how different two people can see the same game. Fair play bud.

Nowt you can say about that really. Rollercoaster of a match, if we can do a domestic treble while getting knocked out in the QF in an all-time classic match you'd take it right?

Pep has to get everyone up and for this and looking for revenge.
