Alvarez is a 10 - 15 min sub at the end to run like a dog. Really effective one.....he's like McAlister.....both hard workers , both world cup winners in a squad that required water carriers for Messi...which is what wc winning teams have loads of grafters. Only ourselves to blame today,the misses were unacceptable, spurs should of been dead and buried by half time hopefully we can start the season in the New Year

Feels like a loss! The only thing is that I felt like this last year! . The early goal conceded against Spurs always catches us out but that equaliser in 90 mins was avoidable against this second string Spurs side!

Yeah, we should've put that away in the first 20 minutes.People gonna blame the defence but fuck me how many chances did we squander. It happens but it won’t keep happening, once again we play a top 6 team and are much the better side. Over the course of a season that will stand us in good stead.
Champions again come May
Missed chances have cost us all season.
We are defensively light in midfield and teams have been running though us all season, but Ederson should've done better on all the goals today.
We need to buy a left back though and Gvadiol or Ake aren't the answer there and need to play centre half.

Not good enough again.
The shitshow from the ref at the end will naturally deflect most of the criticism and understandably so but fact is we failed to outscore a side that had an entire first 11 out injured and didn't have a single cb on the pitch or on the bench. that's piss poor.
I couldn't imagine us going to spurs and getting a point if we had walker and Lewis as our centre backs and kovacic anchoring us without a major bottlejob performance from spurs but that's basically what they've just done to us.
9 goals conceded in 3 games is a major issue. The back 4 with rodri and bernardo in midfield should be a solid foundation, the personnel isn't a problem which means it's the way we are set up. Several weeks ago I didn't understand why we've got Bernardo pressing high as if he's in the false 9 position and why rodri is tracking players into fullback positions leaving us completely wide open in the centre. Since then pep has continued to set us up like that and I've watched us get completely exposed week after week and i still don't understand it one bit.
We also look devoid of ideas in attack. We just don't create enough opportunities. other than Doku, there's nobody in the side who is going to create something. Too many people happy to just keep the ball and pass responsibility on to the next man. I'm not singling anybody out for that, I believe It's a tactical problem again. The tempo was there today in winning the ball back first half but when we got it, we seemed to instantly switch back to first gear and move it at a snails pace even when the pass was begging to be played.
We've failed to win against any of the likely top 4 and key home games where we can potentially make up points are done. We might have chased down much bigger deficits before but we always had the advantage of home games against the teams around us to catch up, other than arsenal, we don't have any of them left.
The team supposedly talked about wsnting to start well this season and not having to chase down others, that's not happened at all. we can just be thankful nobody else has had an electric start like arsenal did last season or the dippers have had in the past to keep us well in the mix.
Now we go to villa who are a solitary point behind us with rodri suspended and I think grealish is too having seen doku go off injured. Huge losses and if we play like we have been doing, and at this point there's no reason to suggest we won't, I don't fancy us to even take a point. Pep needs a tactical change if we are to find a title winning level.
