He’s right though mate. Sterling and Mahrez were better than Doku and Sav.
They were better due to being older and more experienced. Sterling gave us 7 years and Mahrez 5. Whether Doku and Savinho become as good as good remains to be seen as Doku is only in his second season and Savinho his first.

Patience is the virtue, as they say.

Taken a lot of time to reflect on yesterday’s debacle.
As many have stated, the loss of a prime Rodri and several injuries is having a massive negative impact.
It does seem that our ability for succession planning has hit the buffers at present. Arguably the risk of having so many key players in their 30’s is having a detrimental effect. The problem at this age is the decline can be so sudden.
Should we or could we have replaced these last summer? Not easy pending the market.
Sometimes in adversity you find a way. Playing Gundogan,Rico or Boulders in DM again could be deemed madness.
Do we risk O’Reilly there with a vastly experienced KDB v the Dippers?
Adversity will make us stronger.
Love this Club.

Great optimism.

That is what you have to cling onto

I know world-class players who have won 4 titles in a row can do it again, But injuries have killed us and you also need 2 or 3 games to get them match-fit again when coming back,

We need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves because nothing is really lost at this part of the season, All it will take is one big result and then go again and again, The international break did not really work for us because the players coming back from injury need game time and not rest

That is why the midweek game in the Champions League is a blessing, A game under the lights with a good atmosphere and fans singing is on, We need a full-on show by the fans to get right behind the team from the start,

Bring the Noise

He’s right though mate. Sterling and Mahrez were better than Doku and Sav.
Mahrez was here for 6 yrs, Sterling 7 yrs, Doku is in his 2nd season and Sav in his first.

I could turn round and say we need a Yaya, D Silva and Barry because our current midfield of KDB, Gundog and Lewis aren’t good enough.

But you have to put things in context, all players are different and all players bring different attributes to the table.

Don’t forget many blues we’re giving Rodri dogs for his first 18 months at City.

This post, christ all mighty, I can honestly say now, you know fuck all about football.

He’s right , Sterling was one of the most dangerous wingers we’ve ever had. He might’ve missed chances but he scored a ton. Mahrez the same dragged us through champions league games. Produced in vital games such as Spurs and PSG at home.

We right now have zero wingers with end product that can score as many goals as they did, they are young and can improve hopefully but Doku has never been a goal scorer, Savio was I don’t know what’s happened to him I watched him at Girona and he was a real threat. The disrespect to Sterling who at one time was one of the best wingers in the prem and in Peps time at city.
