Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

We're critically low on confidence. Its nothing to do with not working hard enough except maybe on the training field. But when Kevin and Grealish came on we were a different team. I am really annoyed Pep persevered with Lewis and Savinho, especially Savinho, he was a waste of a player out there.

But our confidence needs to change before the season does.
I think that's harsh on Savinho.
He's still a kid trying to make something happen, and the amount of times today senior pro's just played the safe option ball out to this kid and said "there you go, you have it and try and get us back into the game" pissed me off.
Walker for one, too scared of putting a ball in himself and just gets rid to the nearest option, usually Savinho.

Crisis of huge proportions caused by an injury crisis. Football is a game of momentum and we can't get any at the moment. Loss upon loss is becoming a habit. A draw out of nowhere would be a result to build on but Pep cannot solve it as it is. It is all very well saying certain players must be moved on but those players will be here until at least the end of the season. Pep has to play them. No Kovacic today was disastrous. We may still have lost but not by 4 clear goals. Confidence is on the floor. Its a long wait until January and possibly getting in a top midfielder. Around this time last year we had got the strength in depth with barely any injuries and kicked on.Now we can't get a draw .
He's got to find something from somewhere. That's what's he's paid for that's what he does. He did the impossible when he started his managerial career at Barcelona. It was looking grim for him in those first games. But then it clicked. He had a full fit squad though.

We had it so good for so long because Rodri was the first name on the team sheet every week. Even after he went down, we failed to invest in a replacement for him.

Then we got 85 mill for Alvarez and didn't replace him.

We have two young wingers who should not be starting every week, and a slow midfield.

The bottom line is that Pep is not a miracle worker, as much as our complacent Board likes to think to the contrary.

Now the rebuild is gargantuan, and that is inexcusable.

There were posters on here a few games back genuinely saying there was no need for a rebuild.
Absolute wank. I think we had less shots on target than shots they scored from. Easier to tear apart than a paper bag, less creativity than I've seen in a Pep team ever and the positional sense of a gang of paralytic parrots.

Fair few need dropping as they're consistently making the wrong calls. Trouble is, is it's a lot of them and we can't replace them all. But what we can do is get Kev in there and get Jack in there and try and have a bit of control.

It's too much for Savinho, gundo is trying but he looks a yard off the pace, gvardiol I was surprised by his poor turnout but he was worse than Walker...

We seem unsure on when to press as we know that pressing and seeing the ball go long means we're in trouble. It creates huge gaps as one or two go and the rest don't.

Far too much leaving it to the next guy, somebody else can take accountability. If we lose the next two then we're on for a very difficult season and probably a trophyless one.

I don't see that fire, I don't see the right application, I don't see that creativity let alone the belief that we're going to win. Pep has a job now, remove the pressure, get some lights around the place and win the next game. It can switch back that easily but that longer it goes on now the harder it will get.

A yard?

Probably takes Gundog an hour to get down the stairs every morning.
