Spurs (H) - Post-Match Thread

Shocking at the back and arrogance of club to never bring in a forward.we went for Kane and was never gonna get him as they wanted a ridiculous amount.no back up plan never was.we let Sergio leave and Ferran torres leave.brought no one in but think we will beat most teams by hoping Mahrez foden Sterling score.city will win nothing this season.Spurs showed how to do it six at the back and hit on the break.let city have 99% possession and hit on the break.
 
Think we played well the first half, and a normal day we would be 2,3-0 up, but against the North London Burnley its never normal and some horrific defending on all of their goals cost us today since they as usual score on every shot they take. In the second half we kind of dropped off. Our tactic to throw in cross after cross to our non-existing aerial threat when they are playing with 9-10 defenders was never gonna work and I struggle to understand why we believed it would since we kept doing it. I absolutely love Pep and fear the day he will leave, but its hard to imagine how and why a football genius like him still haven't been able to figure out how to beat a more or less useless team like Spurs on more than on the odd occasion. The City pessimist in me says todays performance could cost us the title. Devastating!

No doubt he was outstanding all game everything that was asked of him along with every ball he played was on the money, Was he playing for a move? Haven't seen him dominate centre backs like that in such a long time.
From a City point of view, How on earth we can give him so much space every single time was beggars belief! The centre backs didn't know whether to go follow Kane run into midfield because the were afraid of the pass in behind to Son and the midfield thought Kane would be dealt with by either Dias or Laporte. We actually gave away very few cynical fouls today and those are the fouls we should of made instead of letting Kane recieve the ball on the half turn. We got bullied by him throughout the game. It was embarrassing looking at it to be honest.
 
Just saw spurs 3rd again. Cancelo doesnt even try to stop the cross. Should be proper bollocked for that. Inexcusable.
 
Sky, Cates and Carragher can absolutely do one. So frustrating.

Not sure what went wrong apart from poor defending.....great finishing from Kane, maybe im just pissed ff, but he can feck off too
 
Would love if it Leeds beat the dippers this week.
We just need to start again and get a run going

Ferran may not have been the best but we should have never let him leave knowing we weren’t bringing in a replacement.

the officials again was shocking and yellow card for a foul in the box should be a pen because KDB was ready to take the corner kick ? than handball should also be another yellow card/red ???. but all the city players was so under par and KDB was not at it and looked unfit ?

we need to find another way to play and hurt teams like spurs. because champions league games are just like tonight
and you will get mugged off if you don't kill the game off like today . having the ball does not win the game ? if you are losing or drawing its goals that win games

Well and truly beaten by the Harry Kane team. In short anyone whose ever said we were lucky to avoid signing him need their head's examining. Made us look like schoolboys.
 
Look, there are a lot of thick people claiming that the league is in the dippers hands - it's not. If that was true, it would mean that they can win the league regardless of our results. This is not true.

Yeah, terrible error from him for that second spurs goal, he should’ve headed it back to Ederson.
