Win this and the rest will literally think “why bother” before matches against us. This is so important because if we win it we will truly seem unbeatable to the rest of the league.

Walker--Otamendi-Mangala--Delph

Sterling--Silva---Debruyne----Sane
----------------Aguerooooooooooooo

Kun looked good against Swansea and could use a run of games. Jesus can take Leicester apart next week and Dinho can get his yellow to be banned from a meaningless game.

Kun looked back to his best v Swansea. I honestly believe Pep has improved his all round game and taken him to another level. This was interrupted by his car accident/injury however we will see the fruits of his labour if Pep gives him a run of games.

Hopefully, Kompany can play.

Walker - Kompany - Otamendi - Delph
Fernandinho
De Bruyne - - Silva
Sterling - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sane
Gabriel Jesus

There's no reason not to go all out. Feck league cup. 3 - 1 city.

I bet Pochettino has plastered all over the Spurs training ground Pep's comments calling them the Harry Kane team.

They would love nothing more to brag about being the team that ended City's winning run alongside 2 very good results against Real Madrid.

Must be at 100% on Saturday.

Win this game and I don't see why we can't win every other league game leading up to Liverpool away.

Huge incentive.

Nothing will ever top the 5-2 in 1994 for me. Not even the Ballet on Ice, although I concede I wasn’t even born then. I suspect you were?

Not quite the the ballet on ice, but a very agreeable second best for those of us lucky enough to have been at Maine Road that day in 1977... particularly as I was just a little too young to have attended that legendary performance some nine years earlier

Think this will be a tough game. I would start with the favoured team of most fans.

Imo , most media will be willing for Spurs to peg us back.
Watched Son , who now plays for Spurs , in the Bunderliga Highlights show and always rated him.He seems to be in form.
Usual start for teams at the Etihad is play it tight , then if it is a draw they come out in the second half and give it a go.
I really hope we are 'at it ' from the off and stun them with 2 early goals. IIRC did we beat them 6-3 a few years back.?.
Who scored , was Tevez playing ?.

Imagine playing on surfaces like that week in week out

I got it wrong. Earlier post. City beat Arsenal 6-3 and beat Spurs 6-0 possibly 2013............

Pretty crazy to think if we win we’ll be 21 points clear of them

Especially after 18 games.

On target for a 40 point differential come year end.

Personally I think Spurs will finish somewhere between 70 and 80 points most likely closer to 70 than 80.

At 73 points means 42 points for them in the last 21 games say 12 -3--6 which would be no mean feat given they are currently 9-4-4.

That means we could go 8-0-13 and still finish ahead of them on goal difference.

When you look at it this was it puts the first 17 games into some perspective and why Conte is being realistic at this juncture and bookies are already paying out.

Hello, I dont know how these thing go but I am a fan from Bosnia going to a city game first time in my life and i would like to know if somebody is free for Watford game on 2.jan so i can go with them , i dont know the city so it wd be such a thing for me if somebody helped , I am nineteen years old....sorry i didnt find a tread dedicared to this.

Spurs were lucky fuckers in this draw last season, we murdered them for much of the game.

I'm confident pep has a game plan and we'll see a similar team performance to last season, but this time we'll take all the points.

We should dare them to score against us. They're missing key players in defense and they will crumble on the counter. They won't know what him them.

I see Jermaine Jenas is using his BBC platform to motivate Spurs as best he can. They are desperate for us to lose.
