pre World Cup we played how we have for years and Haaland took advantage of huge amount of attempts at goal and chances we created.
post World Cup we now seem obsessed with just getting the ball to him

we seemed to go out of the way NOT to get the ball to him v the rags, the amount of times he made a great run without anybody finding him was criminal

There’s also an element of us being sussed out involved here - we have Haaland as a centre forward but we’re now, in effect, a midfielder down.
We’ve changed the way we play because we have different tools, teams have sussed how best to cope with it and we’ll change it again in response.
