Spurs Post Match Thread | ICC match in Nashville

We've got space for Nasri, Sanchez and Bertrand if Delph goes. It's what I'd go for but does rely on Mendy/Tosin as 4th CB.

having no backup at centre back is too risky imo. Particularly because we don't know how Kompany is going to get along this season. Plus, if we play 3 at the back and one gets injured/suspended then is Tosin really ready to play in a big game? As far as i'm aware Mendy has never played centre half has he? It's a dilemma, whatever Pep decides, whether we go into the season with just 3 cb's 3fullbacks or the two strikers we're running a big risk

We seem one spot short. The answer is obvious, get rid of Bravo and replace him with a homegrown backup but Pep isn't going to do that this season.

I think our strikers were under orders to get rid of all the wasted chances, pre season.
This is what you get from in depth planning ;-)

Another superb display and it doesn't matter which 11 are on the pitch, the pattern never changes.

The recovery save our other keeper made when the Spurs player flicked the ball over his head was very special. The speed our keeper showed to get up & spring ahead of the Spurs player who had the revs on him & knock the ball away was something else.

Spurs fans will say "its only a friendly" & it was, but fuck me we battered them from 1st min till 90th, could've easily been 7 or 8 nil if sergio had his "scoring" boots on ;)

We can make room for Nasri as this tour has proved we're better with him. There I've said it!

I've always been flummoxed at the stick Nasri has got and most of it stemmed from him 'ducking' out of the way of RVP's winner in the derby. In terms of central mid we've got Yaya, Fern, Silva, Silva, KDB & Gundogan & I think considering Gundogan's injury record that there is still room for Nasri.

Tonight Pep said the following:

'We wanted to keep him last pre-season but he decided to go to Sevilla,' Guardiola said. 'He knows the situation. We have a lot of midfield players. 'I like to work with the guys who want to work with us. I saw him in these three games and his spirit in the training sessions.

'Still I'm waiting for a bad performance. He's a guy who has unbelievable ability to keep the ball in small spaces. The ball is safe. He has his own special quality. The group are satisfied with him and his behaviour.'

'We're going to see.

Nasri just needs a fuckin slap around his chops as Mancini promised him and someone to gaffer tape his mouth shut. It looks like Nasri's own actions last pre-season may have sealed his fate, he just has a horrible habit of shooting himself in the foot.
