Spurs-The bitterness is reaching dipperlike proportions

What do you expect us to say, yes some Spurs fans are idiots, yes just some City fans are idiots, there was some people on here last year who had a few choice words to say about us when we beat you to forth. I said fair play to City so did alot of Spurs fan I know you're judging all Spurs fans on the basis of an internet forum, imagine if people though all City fans were like some of the posters on here. I've no doubt we'll be back next year with a bit of improvement particularly up front then we could do okay. I know that alot of you on here seem to feel just like those idiotic Spurs fans the exact opposite that your light years ahead of us adn that you'll be 1st next year and we'll be tenth, but that's hardly fair either! you've deservedly finished above us over the 38 games and fair play, but it's not like you hammered us in the two league games we played against each other is it?

as for the play comparing bullsiht, the whole process is pointless! football teams are exactly that and alot of people chose certain players to match up to get a more favourable reception for thier side, like I could just as easily be like Dawson>Lescott BAE>Kolorov VDV>Milner Modric > Barry etc etc and just forget about your best players etc! see how that works?

(obv I'm not saying we're better just pointing out the inane nature of the player comparing! )

Thing is I can take comments from Arsenal and Liverpool, and on this even united fans, about them being bigger clubs than us in terms of trophies and support. Only a fool would try to deny that.

But the sheer delusion of a large number of your supporters claiming we are a small club when our crowds have been around 10,000 bigger than yours on average over the last 8 years beggers belief. If you had won discernibly more trophies than us then this claim wouldn't be quite so absurd.

I think that is what pisses off a lot of City fans. We are similar sized clubs and Spurs fans sense of astonishment at our recent good fortune betrays a superiority complex and sense of entitlement which makes many people think that all Spurs fans are cunts. Which in all honesty they are not.

I agree with the ones on there about comparing players is all about opinions but the facts speak for themselves.

The best team - Look at our league positions and also compare trophies won this season.

The best manager - arry is almost 20 years older than mancini and hasn't won anything like the same amount of trophies, in fact I can only think of one thing arry has won (fa cup) and mancini won that in his first full season in England.

It also bugs me that they think they play attacking football, lets be honest arry doesn't have much tactical nous and only knows one way to play, its hardly rocket science.

I will concede London is a much better place than Manchester.

London is a great looking place and you can see where all the tax we pay ends up, it's not like Londoners have payed for it themselves its come from Manc's as much as it's come from them.

Spurs have spent FAR to long in the shadow of Arsenal, similar to us with united whereas we've got peeved and developed a sense of humour they just got bitter and twisted.

Wish spurs fans would get a sense of perspective

Re: Wish spurs fans would get a sence of perspective

This was from a story where the I'm-not-bitter-about-being-sold-by-City-at-all Vedran Corluka claimed that Spurs were a bigger club than City.

Corluka claimed when he joined Spurs, however, that they were a bigger club than City - and he has seen no reason to change his mind. "I still think that," he said. "The fans are a little bit more close to the club here than at City. I have nothing against City and I had a great time there but when I played for City, the stadium wasn't always full, whereas here, you never see that. Here, the stadium is full even when we play friendlies

Attendance at home friendlies at the start of the season.
Villareal - 17917
Fiorentina - 28228

Good point but there's already a Corluka thread whereas this is about Spurs fans.

Re: Wish spurs fans would get a sence of perspective

its always hard to pick "who is the bigger club" clearly we would view are one club higher than other people would. My issue with Spurs(or indeed anyone else)is how they will flipflop the rules right now Spurs are 5th all time, but I bet none of them would say Villa are a bigger club(they are 4th all time honours)and if you go on titles they are even worse(as bad as us!)with 2, so what will happen is people will pick and choose how they make themselves a "bigger club" and others having "no history" As it happens Spurs should be proud of their history(they are the only Non-League club to win the FA Cup), but that doesn't take away the history of anyone else, nor the fact we will be in the Champions League next season!!!!

Who gives a fuck about Spurs? It was Everton last year Spurs this and it will be whoever else we overtake in the future.
