Spurs-The bitterness is reaching dipperlike proportions

Just as an aside to this conversation, football is no longer a failing enterprise in the U.S. It's doing fairly well in the ratings and is building its fanbase at a very good rate. Will it ever be as big as American football? Unlikely, but that doesn't preclude it from being a very lucrative, popular sport. I have no problem finding Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, MLS, and other matches. I can watch J.League and the Mexican league if I want to stay up crazy hours. It's growing. That's a good thing, especially for the Premier League.

Point of information.

Torres & Luiz were bought in January 2011 so will be part of the 2010/11 accounts.
The deal was negotiated in the 2010 fiscal year if I'm not mistaken. Its not a terribly important detail either way.

I've read some of the blogs and campaigns, but its mostly scaremongering. It's very hard for them to drum up support for their cause when the club is more successful with old Malcolm, than it has ever been before. Fact
In other words, you don't know. But you're prepared to pooh-pooh anyone who shows even a modicum of logical sense.

Logic and facts are two different things. It's logical that they could've sold off some assets as well, but this is all hearsay. They will sell one day for a healthy profit, and everyone will say, "WTF was all that about?"
But you don't have any facts either, just a "logical" summation of what makes the most sense to you. You've no right to hold the knowledgable stance when you can only disprove anyone else when having a viewpoint such as that.

Glazer could be doing a business master stroke OR he could be fucking you over, and by what many Blues on here have seen and commented on, it's most likely the latter.

That's why all the big clubs are touring the US every summer. It's a big earner.

no such thing

it is the 10/11 fiscal year, and for FFP regs it counts as it was after 1st June 2010

Not important? You haven't a clue have you?

You've made huge losses to 2010 and signed over £70m of players in the current financial year. Doesn't matter if you signed him from birth. The contract will be in this year's accounts.

This is the point i'm confused about, whiat's this 'accounts' thingy all about, how does it restrict or affect us and which City players are involved/matter/accounted ect. (delete as appropriate)

Ok no need to get a stick up your ass over financial semantics. I'm not an accountant. From what I understand, deals done from April 1st 2010 to April 1st 2011 appear in those books. Torres and Luiz were done in that period. If I'm wrong about that, its fine. But it doesn't matter because its written off as equity.
