Spurs thread 2020/21

Some will go definitely. Wouldn't be surprised to see Aurier go, he is absolutely pants. I reckon Sessegnon might go out on loan.

Think you're probably right about Sessegnon.

And there will be quite a few sales. Biggest likely to be Dele, it seems. Massive shame that he failed to kick on from his first few seasons at Spurs. Might just be that he needs a change of scene.

or very overhyped ,and will find his true level as all young players do.

He has lost his explosive pace and I don't think he is really capable of adapting his game to compensate for that. The other good thing he is already injured

He's still significantly quicker than 90% of defenders and midfielders, though. And I'd argue that pace isn't even his strongest asset. He has superb technique. You don't consistently score the kind of goals he has throughout his career without it.

Spurs were no where near a title challenge when bale was best player in the league
Personally think he will have great moments, have shit moments, get injured and play more golf
I think after doing nothing for two years he will struggle
Mourninho doing Sanchez part 2

Bale is a far better player than Sanchez ever was, though. And, after the way he was treated in Madrid (by the club, by the media and by the fans), he will be hugely motivated and have a massive point to prove.

Gareth Bale out till the end of October with a knee injury, what planet do these clubs live on.

The guy is a walking sicknote , yet they still sign him and give him 100s of thousands of the queens finest to play golf!

This is the big question. It's a big gamble, no doubt. But if Spurs can get 20-30 games a season from him, it's a gamble that could pay off very well.

Looks like a shadow of the player that left Spurs and at his peak he was reliant on his speed

I'll wager he doesnt start 20 PL games.

If this awful pandemic continues into next year, the only upside is its hitting the likes of Spuds, Rags and Arse financially harder than others.

Looks like they’ve got a bye in the league cup as Leyton Orient have a mass Covid outbreak.
