Spurs thread 2020/21

They need to start selling assets instead of borrowing. Kane sold for a realistic fee would help.
Who’s going to buy Hotspur Harry, for the amount that Spurs value him at, in the current financial climate?

Practically every - if not all - club that can afford him made a loss in the last year and I can’t see Levy accepting less than he values Kane at.

I sincerely hope that we aren’t interested. His ankles are very dodgy now and he’s far too greedy for Pep and Pep's system.

I’d much rather we go for a younger striker, preferably Håland, but I’m sure that there are viable alternatives out there.

In addition, Mrs Vienna hates him with a passion.

I think they're in serious financial difficulties. They have to pay off £150m very soon and they don't have it. I reckon part of the reason why the ESL was rushed through was to get this initial pot of "infrastructure" money quickly. I reckon a few clubs really needed it but Spurs needed it desperately, because that new stadium isn't bringing in any money but is sucking loads out.

Would be such a shame if the ESL falling through completely wrecked them financially.

I am really surprised that the press are not giving spuds stick for overlooking Ledley King for the stand in manager. I think it is pure racism. He is far more qualified and I would think more of a legend than the weasel that they put in.

The press giving Spurs stick?

I think you need to lie down.

A bit harsh calling Ryan Mason a weasel. What did he do to upset you?

Word down here in Brighton is they're after Potter. I think he'd be a great fit for them.
Maybe. Potter does an admirable job at Brighton. Yet he wouldn’t be the first talented manager who, at a bigger club with more pressure and better yet more demanding players, find it much tougher.

And it would again be a successor with a very different view. Pottechini-Mourinho-Potter ... no long term view whatsoever.

Spurs are very good on the day. And they do have a stadium that could make them a top 3 side. However patience hasn’t been the clubs or their owners’ strongest asset.

There's nothing to stop their billionaire owner sorting out the bill for the stadium as its exempt from ffp scrutiny. No tears should be shed for Spurs. Fuck em.
