Well, best of luck tomorrow. These are the moments I really look forward to with City as I have long come to expect Pep fielding teams that would transmit their greatness. They will need to raise their level beyond anything we have seen since at Anfield, I am convinced they will and it's going to be great viewing

Sergio plays, we win, we need him for this game, Spuds won't get near him ..
Jesus is developing but he's not what we need Tuesday.. A few spuds players talking a good one the last few days, I hope we smash fuck out of em....

I'd take a 6-3 loss over a 1-0 win as it means more away goals.

Am I doing this right?

Haha I am loving the cautiousness on here. I guess you don't want to put the mockers on it.

The reality is that it would be a massive shock if Spurs got through. We'd need a three goal burst at WHL like we had against Dortmund and then that might not be enough.

Nevertheless I still secretly believe.

God, I hate being a football fan. It does you in.

Lads, it's Tottenham

With that said, they will be confident after dicking a shite BVB side in the previous round.

I think the main thing we need to do, outside of play our game, is pick a backline that can become a back 3 on the fly.
If Poch goes with 2 up top we move to a 3, if they go with 1/3 up top we keep with the 4. Whatever back 4 we go with these are the games Kompany is at the club to play in so I'd be going with something like

Laporte Kompany Stones Walker.

Stones can push into DM alongside Dinho if needed.
Also can't see Mendy starting a couple of days after the Brighton game, a game he understandably looked rusty in.

Ahead of those I'm expecting
Sterling Aguero Bernardo
Gundogan De Bruyne
Dinho

tho I always think it a shame not to start Sane, esp. against Trippier, and when we don't have Mendy playing, Sterling can rip Trippier but he's been a little off it the last coupe of games imo. Sane wouldn't be a bad impact sub of course!

A bit nervous but nothing like I'd be if we were facing Juve, Barca or Liverpool. I fancy us to score 2 at least and unless we get pumped somehow that'll be a decent outcome to take back to ours

Not really. Peps record in Europe without the football equivalent of God is relatively poor. He is master of the domestic scene and may that continue against CP and you lot Sat week.

Just hope we aren't as complacent as we were on Saturday, as we looked like we were playing a pre-season friendly, really hope Sane starts on the left as he naturally pushes back the RB and Kieran Trippier is a big threat with his delivery. Sane's been out match winner on so many occasions, not really sure what else the lad has to do to start, sadly I think we need to drop David S for this one. Btw there isn't much home advantage as they've only played one game in the stadium.
