Spurs Vs City Post Match Discussion thread

Last summer's transfer debacle comes back to bite us on the arse again!

As soon as Milner went off to be replaced by Kolorov, I knew we'd be lucky to escape with a point. We're a far better team team than Spurs, but beyond our best 15 players we're distinctly average & that's why injuries & suspensions have fucked us this season. Thanks a lot Marwood!

Could Spurs have staged that fightback if we had Aguero, Milner & Silva fit? Would they fuck! Anyway we now have to protect 2nd place & do our best to win the FA Cup.
 
We looked very comfortable for 80mins of the game. It was men against boys with us not having to get out of first gear. Even with Dzeko on the pitch, effectively meaning playing as if we have 10 men.

Five minutes of poor defending cost us. Ah well , it meant far more to them and that was evident at the of the game.
 
Shite.

- Mancini didn't react to us ambling through the second half when an equalizer was inevitable. We were being dominated.
- Kolarov as a left-midfielder has never worked and will never work. I knew when I saw that substitution that we wouldn't dominate the half. I predicted that we'd actually take him off again. Ridiculous substitution.
- To me, Dzeko looks like he's already agreed a move away. You either work your balls off to get that move at the end of the year or to prove that you should be starting every game...or you put in little effort knowing that you won't be there next season. Body language is often laughed at when discussed in football but it speaks volumes with Edin. He's gone. It's not a question of ability (for me anyway), it's attitude. Kolarov also looks like he's going.
- Kompany cannot pass a ball longer than 20 yards. He can't. Stop doing it. His defending of Defoe was also incredibly naive. Every City fan saw that coming.
- Says a lot that Lescott won more flick ons as a striker than Dzeko. Says a whole fucking lot.
...then:
- Tevez was outstanding again. Sign him up.
 
I am still sitting here in shock that we have lost that game 3-1!!!

We were coasting it although 1-0 is never going to be safe.As usual our few half chances we didn't take,but they never looked like scoring either.Suddenly we implode as soon as they equalise!

Piss poor defending for all 3 goals we were suddenly all over the shop with a bit of pace and movement against us once Defoe came on.How many times does he score those sort of goals,yet still Kompany let him turn inside and curl the shot off.

As for Dzeko.....a fucking traffic cone would have been more use!!!He offered fuck all!No fight,no movement,no effort,can't win anything in the air.Poor Tevez he may have well have been on his own,no tell a lie....he was!!

The folly of going half a season with 3 forwards when one is Dzeko and Aguero is always injured!Also selling De Jong when his replacement is as slow as fuck and offers no protection to the back four.

Some baffling substitutions.Fetch on a winger and take the traffic cone off.Yes he is shit but if we are actually hoping to cross some balls into the box for once why do that??Mancini should have put Garcia on and shoved Ya Ya up front.

A game we should have won but threw away,winning the FA cup might just make me feel better,even that isn't a given with this shower,but the season on the whole has been utter shite.

Some big decisions,a clear out and quality additions have to happen in the summer and Mancini gets one more chance,although our owners might not see it that way when the end of season review comes up!

If he's on the bench, he can play.

If he can't play, he should not be on the bench.

Ridiculous tactics - or lack thereof - from the boss, I am afraid to say.

We threw the game basically. Just handed it over.

That game just really highlighted how tactically inept Mancini really is. AVB realised we were there for the taking and went for it, whilst bob sat in his chair and did nothing to counter this. Dzeko should never pull on a blue shirt again for me. I can only think he put a performance in like that to make a. point? I wrote the season off as soon as they soared 12 points clear. At least our players should be fresh for Wembley. We should give playing time over to the players who want to be here next season and players like Suarez, Rekik and Sinclair.
 
Very disappointed in Toure too today. Seemed uninterested, and where previously he had space and would March on forward he played a sideways ball...
 
What the hell went wrong in the second half I do not know! Could/ should of been 2 or 3 by half time. Dzeko what a fucking awful game he had today! Ship him out in the summer along with a few others! At least we have a fa cup final to look forward too but it has been a very poor defence of our crown this year just have to come back next year with a better team and take it back from the rags
