Spurs Vs City Post Match Discussion thread

What was the tactics in the 2nd half hoof it up to Kolarov. That last half hour was crap.Kompany and Mancini were poor today.

The cunts are out, obsessed with City to the very last.

Why was Kolarov seen as the best option to replace Milner?

Was i missing some tactical masterclass because chalk and cheese sprung to mind......
I thought Kolarov did okay. The only weakness i saw was Dzeko. No idea about the goals conceded though.Hard to see from other end of the ground.
Still cannot believe we got beat.75 mins so far in front hard to take a 3/1 defeat.

Its not what i asked.....

That unavoidable substitution weakened us dramatically,i dont think putting Kolarov on was the answer to lessening that fact.

There was a few scratching their heads in the ground when Platt came on the pitch at half time to tell Kolarov to get ready and found out it was Milner coming off.

Regardless of the result it was great support again from our fans, lunchtime kick offs can sometimes be dull affairs but once again City fans made it a great atmosphere

Is there any chance that we threw this away deliberately so that Spurs can with the 4th spot?

Because I'm struggling to find a better explanation for the total capitulation by players and manager in the second half. It's almost like we deliberately didn't adjust to the changes by AVB. Surely Mancini isn't THAT clueless.

We have NO options. Once Milner went off we had nothing on the bench.

Could have moved Kompany into defensive midfield and Kolo or Lescott to CB to help stem the tide. Barry was overrun with YaYa proving non-existent in protecting the back four.

Spurs main threat was down the flanks

Unfortunately he made a couple of poor decisions late on (Dempsey at far post and showing Defoe inside) but apart from that for 70 mins he was masterful and was reading the game perfectly.

-- Sun Apr 21, 2013 12:02 pm --

Come on Villa do us all a favour and spoil the scums party.

Took a surprise lead and should have scored at least two. Nasri fluffed after scoring so well for his first. Dzeko should have scored but my god he was crap today. And why kolarov on in that game. Dear me. Having said that expected a draw at best. And two more wins should see us second. Beating Wigan is now the main event. By nastasic is total class.

I'd rather have Guidetti come on as a striker at 90 minutes than Mancini make a farce of our season by sarcastically putting Lescott out there as a Striker.

What kind of fucking mockery is that shit? I think my dog could have randomly walked up to one of the players on the bench and barked to make a better substitution than that.

When Mancini is under pressure in a losing situation, he's started to completely lose the plot. We've seen 4-1-4, 3-5-2, two left fullbacks and two left wingers on at the same time, be a goal down and replace a centerback with a fullback, and much more madness.

Today, for probably the 5th or 6th time this season, Mancini showed that he is an average manager at best.

And we know Kolarov is fuck all use at defending so why not bring Garcia on instead?
