The graphic which BT showed had Dawson occupying the ground between Yaya and Ferny! Clearly two yards onside. Never seen such a travesty of reporting as that graphic. I was under the impression that Goebbels had topped himself, but he seems to have got a job in BTSport Propaganda Dept!

Can we actually find the "level" graphic that they put up later? IIRC, it didn't show the ball just the position of players when the ball was supposed to have been kicked.

Spurs appealed and the FA overturned the red card so Rose won't get suspended. Really the match should be replayed from that point and they should use TV replays on all sending off & penalty decisions.

But it's all academic really. They should not have had the free kick in the first place. And in the parallel universe where the goal was given, we beat them 6-2 anyway with Dzeko scoring a hatrick.

My point is, with the teams playing on Wednesday in the form they were both in, it didn't matter a sausage about individual calls or incidents, City were going to win that no matter what happened, because we were by MILES the better side. It's not like it was close, is it.

Not true. From the fifa rule book:

A player in an offside position is only penalised if, at the moment the ball touches or is played by one of his team, he is, in the opinion of the referee, involved in active play by:
• interfering with play or
• interfering with an opponent or
• gaining an advantage by being in that position

Being a bit harsh on Spuds mate. Erickson's foot is still quite a few millimeters from the ball. As quickly as Yaya and Ferny can move, Dawson could have been several yards onside by the time contact was made.

Our salaries are going down as we get rid of the last of the gash deals. We may top of the table at the minute, but it won't be long before we're down to Europa League and then mid table as others try to play catch up!
