Spurs vs City post match

top of the league and after the run of games away from home its still early days but we are the best squad in the league and just need to get players fit and having a starting 11 each week a settle team is what missing from this squad every week there is 3 or 4 changes and the back 4 i don't think we have had the same in any game this season. but spurs just got us at the right time them 4 away games on the bounce really hit us hard and you can mentality blow up living together for that space of time on the road is the hardest thing and we looked like we was not in the game from the start

but give spurs credit they was up for it and give everything for the manager and fans but if that's the level teams have to be at to beat us then only spurs and liverpool are going to be in the run in for the title if city don't win it

Pep said himself the first few games was new manager syndrome. He knows we are a long way from where he wants us to be both in terms of philosophy and players. Wonder if Pep's comments about staying more than three years, is that he knows it will take him 12 months to turn this around. Accepted that Kevin is a world class player but without him in the side we just don't seem to gel. Pep needs this season to build from such a low point last season. We are going to have to be patient and it may be next season before we start playing consistently the way in which Pep wants us to play. Need to ship out a lot of the old guard. Don't forget Klopp and co have had a season or more. At least the unspecial one is not ripping up any trees. Keep the faith it will be worth it.

Spurs had more travel and 3 key players missing. We've spent 2/3 times more money than them. Roll out the excuses some more!
I watched their game in Europe. It was easy and they rested players. They had an extra day and were at home

Time and time again you'll see CL teams play away in midweek and then get beat at the weekend, particularly if they are away. Happens all the time

Has to more to it than 'lightweight' mate - that was what all the 'experts' were saying in the run up to the the united game, explaining why they'd dominate midfield, but it didnt happen.
Did Barca have a lightweight team with Xavi, Iniesta and Messi playing?
Agree.
But why we was so easily bullied in the middle even with heavies like Fernando?

I'm fine with that. But, the problem is we don't look like winning against Liverpool or Tottenham even if we are playing at home. Our home form should be perfect, then we can afford to lose matches like today.
Hang on. Let's see how we perform against those teams at home first. This is Pep, not Pellegrini and there will be a response to this.

I'm hoping we can get a win this season against top 6 opposition, not looking good up to now!!

We won't be walking anything with this defence. It's dreadful.

Of the six games we have won, 5 were against teams in the bottom half, mostly the bottom 4. It was masking the problems which are no De Bruyne we struggle and a defence that has kept one clean sheet in 7 games.

Wake up call the last 2 games. Kompany and De Bruyne will need to come back quickly!
Serious question (not WUMming); can we rely on Vinnie's long term fitness any more?

Surprised so few people mentioning the Celtic game having an impact on the team. They looked like they hadn't recovered fully, their legs and minds weren't ready for this game and Spurs made the most of it and were excellent and deserved the win.
