Spurs vs City post match

Hold on. First loss of the season and you immediately expect us to finish 4th? After much of the squad was clearly dog tired from fighting tooth and nail at Celtic? Our season isn't about to implode.

2 points:
1. I expected us to finish 4th before the season started so I haven't gone all doom and gloom after today.
2. If they were all so tired then Sagna, Clichy and Sane should have all started.

Really we only bought two players to genuinely improve the team immediately.. Gundogan and Bravo who both look like theyll take a while to settle. We've bought really well for the future but we really should've gone for a couple more players in their primes.

Two error ridden displays by Kolarov.
How many more will Pep tolerate?
The guy has no right foot!

I still think he is off the pace which isn't surprising given his injury. I guess my expectations of him have been set pretty high given the coverage on here. Just don't think he has shown it consistently for us yet. And frankly, an upgrade to Fernando's first half performance would not be too difficult.
I think like some signings, he needs time to bed in; he hasn't started alot this season and will get better as the season goes on, also at his price, he is such a bargain that even if he doesn't completely fulfill expectations

Much as it would be a sign of some progress to actually win one, Spurs, Dippers and Arse away aren't the games where the league is won or lost. It's the Burnleys, Bournemouths and rags of this world you have to ensure good results against.

Not great today but lost to a good side who were better than us. We congratulate them, dust ourselves down and move on.

Not true...we beat all the 'burnleys..bournemouths" last season home and away, beat no-one from the top 6 and finished 4th...

They are well stocked because Poch has the courage to play younger players. A.Garcia, Angelino, Maffeo couldn't have played as badly today as their counterparts.
Agreed, they're used to Guardiola's style, as the academy's been implementing it for a while according to BMRTV.

We seem to be surprised, shocked even at how bad Kolarov/Zab looked? Most of us were saying we needed replacements for them, most of last season.....Any time "both" are in the starting 11 (as our starting fullbacks) this season, we going to struggle with "pressing" teams......and this is no surprise!

When we had 2 better, quicker fullbacks on the bench, there is no reason for these to play a full 90minutes....This looked like a Pelle side today.....

Pep not going to be able to fix all our problems in one summer window and this shows we still got alot of work to do before this is truely a Pep team!

We in good hands tho.....and it will get fixed!;)

Angelino was shit against Swansea in the league. Its all retrospective isn't it? Did Poch play a single young player who isn't usually part of their XI? no? You have no idea how the three above would have fared at all. You are making it sound as if Bony is playing in front of nacho.

I was answering your question about them being well stocked. They have the youngest team in the league due to promoting youth, youth they've either bought or nurtured.

Angelino didn't play in the league game, wasn't even on the bench. Played in the cup as part of a weaken team.
