Spurs vs City post match

We always needed another summer transfer window to complete the side. Replacement for the fullbacks, someone to replace Kompany and a fourth No. 8 were always needed. Right now, though, we're still top of the league and our competitors also have plenty of deficiencies.

Whilst the result is disappointing this at least further highlighted problem players & problem areas that weren't addressed in the summer. We did a lot of good business, but before the window everyone was crying out for fullbacks & CM's; think Pep will be looking at these exact areas for potential transfer targets next year.

It's a transition year for us, always has been, somewhat masked by a fantastic start, no reason why we can't challenge after the start we've had but Pep has said it best, perhaps it was best for us to lose one to calm down the hype - we're a good team, but so are Arsenal, Spurs & Liverpool, that's without mentioning 2-3 others wanting a challenge for the title. Going to be a tough year to win it for any side.

Today was basically Pellegrini's team and we saw the same outcome as last season. I think Pep will have learned a lot. It was baffling that our two slowest players in Kolarov and Zabb started today after playing Wednesday. We need a couple of quick fullbacks and a solid centre half. On the positive side Stones was magnificent today.

I was answering your question about them being well stocked. They have the youngest team in the league due to promoting youth, youth they've either bought or nurtured.

Angelino didn't play in the league game, wasn't even on the bench. Played in the cup as part of a weaken team.
I mean league cup, part of the weakest team or not, he was shocking. Wait for 2 years and we will have the youngest team in the league as well but it takes time not a 3 month job.

i understand playing them and why we have to

what i am saying is that when we do Pep needs to do something different with them (ask them to do something different) or they and the team as a result of it will struggle as they cant play the way pep wants them to against the better teams.

If he adapts it slightly then we may fair better but Kolorov, fernando, Zabba and navas are not technically good enough to deal with high intensity teams

I know Pep won't change however so it will be up for other teams to take points off spurs, liverpool and arsenal as I don't think we will get many (Maybe against arsenal we will)

Kolorov showed all he weaknesses we know he has at fullback....we haven't played anyone decent until the last week so we have got away with playing Kolorov (i was never convinced by his performances and the rave reports everyone was going on about (though he has improved)

ottomendi has always had that rashness in him and if Kompany was fit he would be dropped.....Pep has already mentioned the about his diving in and his use of the ball sometimes is very rash. He has his strengths but Pep won't be happy with what he has seen from him today ..he loses his cool and again this ins' unusual..he did it constantly last season and he has done it before today this season so yes he can do better (against weaker teams) but against the best Im not convinced

I think we will beat Spurs at our place & do ok vs the others over the season.

Been to the swamp, Stoke & whl already at the starf of October & are top of the league.

Otamendi is a bit less of a problem than Kolarov I think, in that he defends a lot so even when he's shite, his stats are good, as he wins balls. But if all 3 decide to have a shitter on the same day, it's fucked.

Never wanted Stones but I hold my hands up. I think that was the best game I've ever seen him play. In amongst that shower. Fantastic.

But as for changing it. The goals didn't come because of our tactics they came when we had all our defenders in position & they were shit. Change won't help that.

Fuckin gutted but I could see this coming from last week's two matches against Swansea. We just seem to have lost that extra spring in our step that we had previously.

Spurs are a quality side with younger fitter players and it told today. We have the better quality players but Spurs made up for it with their inhuman endeavours.

We had to lose at some point and the reason I could see this coming is because the high pressing game is becoming more prevalent in the English game. Premier League teams are now going to try and out Guardiola, Guardiola as Spurs did today.

Kolarov was poor today and that assessment is without including his OG in the equation. We have 2 weeks until the Prem is back & hopefully KDB & Vinny will be in contention, it'll be interesting to see how Pep reacts to today's defeat.

Spurs deserved the win today, they were the better team and I have no complaints. Lastly, I want every fucker connected to Spurs drugs tested! The players, fans coaches the fuckin lot, because I've never seen so much collective energy!! :-(
Guardiola's never truly happen until he loses, that way he learns, he's a perfectionist, he always strives for improvement.

its been 4 tough aways on the bounce ,spurs were better,if we have a repeat against everton then we can all really flap,we looked flat all over and there will be times over the season when the other top teams are just as flat its going to be intresting

We should have played and set up for the draw in hindsight. That celtic game took out a lot from the players.
