It's a mindset thing I am convinced. Those mistakes today were not forced we just couldn't pass at times, even when not under pressure, simple mistakes..... Kolarov, normally knows how to pass but today totally lost the ability at times, same with his positioning. He's been brilliant all season until today so wtf has he switched off? But I dont buy this "lets sack the players because they're shit" That was all being said last year and here we are same players and top of the table.

Spurs were better than we have faced previously but still the overall feeling is that we lost rather than they won.

They are well stocked because Poch has the courage to play younger players. A.Garcia, Angelino, Maffeo couldn't have played as badly today as their counterparts.

Angelino was shit against Swansea in the league cup. Its all retrospective isn't it? Did Poch play a single young player who isn't usually part of their XI? no? You have no idea how the three above would have fared at all. You are making it sound as if Bony is playing in front of nacho.

How you can compare Poch blooding in young players with Pep when Pep has been here 3 months is beyond me.

Much as it would be a sign of some progress to actually win one, Spurs, Dippers and Arse away aren't the games where the league is won or lost. It's the Burnleys, Bournemouths and rags of this world you have to ensure good results against.

Not great today but lost to a good side who were better than us. We congratulate them, dust ourselves down and move on.

Why didn't Sane start? He's a lot more comfortable on the ball than Navas, is quite quick and has decent passing for how old he is.

Spurs like it or not, are a good side.. It hurts when you have to admit you were beaten by a better side but it happened today. It's just another step in the learning process, I did not think that Pep would win the title in his first year, so what matters now is what we do next. We have a decent run of fixtures coming up. If we string another sequence together We didn't learn anything last year, just kept repeating the same mistakes. I'm convinced that won't happen under Pep.
He'll be starting to realise that the PL is a very different from La Liga or even Bundesliga.
Spurs full backs are better than ours. - Although I love Zabba for what he has done in the past. Clichy is so so - not International class.
We have 2 or 3 over 30's - difficult to replace with younger versions.

They are better than ours. It's our most obvious weakness. We made a lot of signings in the summer though and you can't do it all at once. When the rumours about Peres at Roma came up in the summer I thought we were finally going to address the problem at right babk but Pep will see it and it will be done...eventually.

very surprised they didnt start

maybe its literally down to minutes played and Pep needed to balance that out considering the work rate the fullbacks get through (pep has said previously about the amount of mins especially that Sagna has played last season and on internationals so its clearly in his thinking)

prob is especially against the better teams Kolorov at fullback is a complete liability and always has been

I think gundogan is getting unfair treatment here, the moment he came on the games momentum started to shift and we looked alot better

I still think he is off the pace which isn't surprising given his injury. I guess my expectations of him have been set pretty high given the coverage on here. Just don't think he has shown it consistently for us yet. And frankly, an upgrade to Fernando's first half performance would not be too difficult.

Credit to spuds who were the better team today. Very poor first half by us, Improved a little in the 2nd. We lack in the full back department and need another CM of quality. Hard playing with one defender in Stones. We invite pressure onto ourselves sometimes.
