Bravo can't be #1 for this season anyway as Hart has been in a PL matchday squad but hasn't officially left the club. For similar reasons Gundogan can't get #8. Either can have #14, #28 or #20 though, if they want it. At least I think that's how it works.
Our first team numbers for this season, not including players out on loan, will look a bit like this:
3. Sagna
4. Kompany
5. Zabaleta
6. Fernando
7. Sterling
9. Nolito
10. Aguero
11. Kolarov
12. Bravo
13. Caballero
15. Navas
16. Gundogan
17. De Bruyne
18. Delph
19. Sané
21. Silva
22. Clichy
24. Stones
25. Fernandinho
30. Otamendi
42. Touré
54. Gunn
69. Angelino
72. Iheanacho
75. García
Bravo and Gundogan still need to choose numbers, but I'd bet on Gundogan taking #16 while Bravo will probably take either #12 or something random and obscure.
Will be interesting to see which of the promoted youngsters (if there are any) plus Iheanacho opt for switches to lower numbers in the near future. Kelechi can't switch anymore and I'm guessing would have by now if he wanted to. Also want to see what number Jesus takes when he gets back from loan.
On another note, that's only 25 players. We had a big squad a week ago but with all the loans that looks much more like a PL side squad size. I know Guardiola prefers a squad of more like 18 players but that won't work in this league and with our injury record. With 3 Keepers, 4 Centrebacks, 2 Leftbacks, 2 Rightbacks, 2 Holding Midfielders, 4 Central Midfielders, 2 Right Midfielders, 2 Left Midfielders, 2 Attacking Midfielders and 2 Strikers that's a pretty balanced squad as far as I can tell.
