squad weaker than last season ?

I just hope we don't rest on our laurels, and because we've beaten West Brom 3-0 think that the squad is fine as it is. Still think we're a couple of key injuries away from big problems.

It's a more balanced, youthful and determined squad that is designed to get the best out of our best players. Better than last year, much better once Kevin arrives.

On paper lampard, milner, dzeko, jovatic for Delph and Sterling doesn't really add up. We have signed some good younger players too but they don't replace the experience we have lost and our current manager doesn't play youth.

So currently we have a weaker squad in my opinion.
I also read a piece in the DT about second elevens which didn't fill me with joy.

It's not as simple as just looking at who came in and who left. Hopefully, we get KDB but most of Man City's improvements will come internally. Yaya, Vinny and Mangala should all be way better than last year. Youngsters such as Nacho, Lopes and Denayer taking the next step in their development will also improve the club.

The addition of Sterling adds a totally different element that this club didn't have last year in terms of pace and creativity. Merlin is in top form and Aguero is still the best striker in the league.

Why is Nasri in neither our first nor second XI in that article? Did I miss something?

The squad is more balanced, we have hungry players ( with an added bonus of having a fully motivated Yaya) along with a few EDS lads who will push our first teamers.
