First eleven is better but not just because of new or missing names.

Yaya focused (no club or family issues)
Silva first full break before preseason. Kompany fit
Managla experience in the prem
Sterling upgrade on Dzeko
Delph upgrade on Fernando

Squad wise, the kids look great.
Iheanacho looks the real deal
...and my personal wish. Manu Garcia.

There's more to it than additional names on paper. Even on paper I think it's better. but more importantly
Are they better prepared? 100%

Mentally we are far better than last season

All that changes if De Bruyne signs, though!

And hopefully a top class CB/CM. . .

Still think we're better than last season, though!

Especially with Denayer & Sterling.

Genuine Question mate as I am struggling to understand your negativity. Are you saying it is a disappointing window because we haven't yet got our prime targets secured or you feel we are worse off with the business we have completed. Or am I missing your point totally?
 
Not weaker, but not strong enough to get us do good in CL. We'll win th PL, and that's good enough for me.

Sterling & Delph are great signings that improve the squad.

Roberts and Unal have bags of potential.

We've cut some of the chaff.

Promoted 3 brilliant talents to the 1st team squad.

No summer tournament (bar for the South Americans who have had a long rest) or AFCON, so our key players aren't burnt out.

Also Mangala and Fernando have a years extra experience in the Prem.

Very strong squad and better than last year.
